I seriously question the DNC investigation. It was a poor job by the FBI -and to this day still relies on a
"Russian cutout" ( some stealthy unknown figure -except it has to be Russian to fit the Deep State narrative.)

First there is no purpose for the meeting other than to satisfy Trump's ego and allow him to once again meet Putin. When Trump held his beauty pageant in Moscow, all he really wanted was for Putin to come. He didn't.

Since there is no stated diplomatic purpose of this "summit." A summit meeting (or just summit) is an international meeting of heads of state or government, usually with considerable media exposure, tight security, and a prearranged agenda. What is the agenda? I can't find one. I find lots of recommendations, but no official agenda. So, meeting won't prevent a war or anything else. And once again Trump is going into a closed door meeting with only the interpreters. No agenda, no advisers, no note takers, nothing. That alone is enough to cancel this farce.

But, today the U.S. indicted Russian Intelligence Officers for actual involvement in the hacking the DNC and the Clinton Campaign. This can only mean it was done with the approval of Putin. And he has denied any such hacking or involvement, and Trump himself doesn't not admit that Putin/Russia was involved in any way in the election process. The indictment even says that they tried to hack voting records.

To show his displeasure Trump can cancel this phony summit. But he agrees with Putin. You don't encourage your enemy and reward his conduct for his attacks on you. If there was a set agenda on the hacking, on Crimea, on Russian expansionism, then there might be a reason to go forward. But the real danger is that Trump will give Putin something that will harm U.S. and/or ally interests. He did it in NK, and he will do it again.

'TDS' is a joke. It assumes President Trump is basically a good person, and those who disagree with him must be deranged or something. The problem is the basic assumption. Trump is not a good person at all. I don't know why so many have such a hard time understanding that. He was a total joke that nobody took seriously in any of his previous runs for President before he did that TV show. Then he is a hit on TV, and everybody loves him. You think a jerk is great because he is a spectacle on TV? What the heck is that all about? It suggests he could have taken Kim Kardashian as VP and done just as well with the deplorable crowd, but he wisely took a mainstream politician Pence to bring over the not-deplorable Republicans. That was a wise move. Even though he could have had 30% with Kardashian and the deplorable vote, he managed to link in the power-junky crowd and the evangelicals with Pence. Pretty slick move. And of course the one thing that made it all work was Hillary and all her political luggage. The RWPM Right Wing Propaganda Machine really had a lot of material to work with when they swiftboated HER!

So, no, TDS does not explain all the opposition to Trump. There are simply people with values who cannot accept him under any circumstances. Many Republicans included. The #NeverTrump crowd is not explained by TDS.

Mueller was widely accepted by both parties at his appointment to Special Counsel. Trump seems to think the way to win a legal battle is to market his side like a product being sold. He keeps putting out 'ads' via twitter, and months later we have this entire segment who now believes his 'witch hunt' BS, and now they think Mueller is a liberal.

They are wrong, and it doesn't matter what the public thinks if it ever boils down to a court of law and a judge. If Trump committed crimes there needs to be justice. No man is above the law. Mueller is far from done. They are running a tight ship and we don't know what they have. But we can pretty well guess that since the investigation is ongoing that there will be more indictments. And it is entirely likely that future indictments will include more Americans. Maybe from the Trump family, Maybe even Trump himself.

Nothing precludes Congress from opening subsequent investigations after Mueller is done, either. How many Benghazi investigations were there?

Better make yourself VERY comfortable. There is no 'damage control.' This is far from done.

I'm hoping this whole Trump thing is like the last hurrah of the right wing. Sooner or later the left is taking over. The right doesn't have sustainable numbers or demographics.
