Or was it the broadband debacle?

come on man. go read, this is what I do, do not get in this argument with me
    LOL

Sorry - you clearly don't understand what the stimulus accomplished. You also seem to have a very limited understanding of economics in general.

yea, I read you fu@kin nut-bag, suggest you do the same.

the 800 billion "stimulus" was a waste of money. Even the staunchest of defenders, real defenders , not triggered nut-bags on a forum, are reduced to saying it "saved" jobs, not created. which is quite a stretch for justifying 800 billion dollars.

I cited Solyndra, I cited the broadband debacle, I cited the states wasting most of their monies on bankrolling their bankruptcy due to fiscal irresponsibility, I'll cite the CBO report that a 100 billion of it was lost to waste and fraud, that unemployment continued up for 3 years after the "stimulus", we as a country were 10 trillion more in debt when Obama left office than we were when he got there. the "stimulus" was throw money at a problem, that's not a policy, anyone could have done that. ya think? It's like taking a credit card and saying "here, go fix what you need to fix, whatever it takes, pay the other credit cards off, clean energy ideas, go for it, it's on the card".
And then the idiot put regulations on companies that killed the jobs he was trying to create. Obama did not know what he was doing, it wasn't his fault it was the affirmative action campaign that put him in that position.

and I've yet to hear one lasting good thing from a liberal that the "stimulus" did

Well, as long as you're citing the CBO, you can reference the 3 million jobs that the CBO reported that it saved AND created (not just "saved", though that stat is equally as important). And you can cite the economists and investors who affirm that without it, the economy would have kept spiraling downward.

The stimulus turned things around. It wasn't responsible for all of the recovery, but it paved the way for the private sector to take over and gave investors and employers confidence again. The proof is in the results - again, the stock market tripled and we were less than 1% away from full employment by the time Obama left office.

Trump is also creating huge debt, but I don't hear you whining about that.

You just hate giving Democrats - and specifically Obama - any credit. Like I said, if Trump had the kind of results Obama had in terms of stock market growth, consecutive quarters of job creation, almost achieving full employment - after the huge Bush crash - we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Dude, both the stock market & economy grew starting in late 2009 and lasting all the way through Obama's admin.

I forgot - you think we were in "recession" that whole time. Laughable - the longest string of consecutive growth quarters in decades...

It was actually March of 2009, not late 2009 that the stock market recovery began. A whole month after Obama was elected.

    Qualitatively, no. Quantitatively, no comparison.
