Once again your imbecility is exposed.

Refugee status or asylum may be granted to people who have been persecuted or fear they will be persecuted on account of race, religion, nationality, and/or membership in a particular social group or political opinion.

Refugee status is a form of protection that may be granted to people who meet the definition of refugee and who are of special humanitarian concern to the United States. Refugees are generally people outside of their country who are unable or unwilling to return home because they fear serious harm. For a legal definition of refugee, see section 101(a)(42) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

You may seek a referral for refugee status only from outside of the United States.

Asylum status is a form of protection available to people who:

    • Meet the definition of refugee
    • Are already in the United States
    • Are seeking admission at a port of entry

You may apply for asylum in the United States regardless of your country of origin or your current immigration status.

Lulz. Can't say I didnt try. Some people are just unwilling to educate themselves. I didnt always believe what I believe. But I've read laws, I've done research, I've spoken to people and visited places and learned. For some people, it's just easier to leave their heads in the sand.

The UN as an organization is garbage. They have committees made up of 10-20 countries that make announcements and decisions for all countries.

A treaty, even if facilitated by the UN, is subject to the negotiation of every single country that signs said treaty. So it's a negotiation between 144 countries. Not the representatives from a few countries making shit up to benefit them.

Think about this, the UN council for women's rights includes Saudi Arabia on the panel. Members include Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, and Turkmenistan. Countries where women have no rights.

The UN as an organization is a political organization that serves only to further the interests of whatever country serves on whatever panel at a certain time.

A treaty facilitated by the UN is negotiated by 100-200 countries and is not subject to the politicization of individual panels or countries.

Good try, but there are big holes in your reasoning. These are still U.N. treaties and I’m still laughing.

Jesus christ. You're beyond help. A UN treaty isn't written by the UN. Its written and decided on by the signatories. The only reason it has the UNs name on it is because the UN is the only organization in the world that can have representatives from 144 countries show up and have space for them all.

Have a great day. Try to educate yourself a little. God bless.

She's an imbecile. She is still pretending that UN treaties/Conventions are not binding on the signatory nations because you criticized the UN as an organization.

Tip: when she says she's "laughing", she's lying.

    You humiliated her.

for the sake of the child you take them away from a parent that chose to abuse them by taking them across a foreign border illegally with no plan to provide for them beyond that.
These children are very well taken care of in these facilities. And at any time the mother, or father can say I want to go back to where I came from give me my kid and I will leave.

Why is this so hard to understand

It was a fun debate. Obviously she doesn't have an argument really. It's just her saying I'm wrong because I don't like the UN. Which.. why would anyone like the UN? But oh well. Can't save em all

I'm not going to provide quotes on the process to create a treaty because there is no one document that will properly describe it. I can reference you to some books if you feel like some light (heavy) reading.
