That doesn't comport with what you said in the recent past.

You made a very definitive and confident statement just weeks ago....that the NK nuclear program was "soon to be dismantled".

noise: "technically correct. ICBM with miniatriazation (warhead) cannot survive re-entry to US.
The program is on hold, and soon to be dismantled"https://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...10#post2423710
I told you Trump boot lickers that your celebrations were premature, and it was way too early to spike the ball in the end zone.
I told you the hapless, incompetent, dim witted trump did not have the capability to negotiate with hardened communist dictators.
I told you that NK was probably going to take into account that Trump violated an international nuclear agreement with Iran, an agreement that was working.

There is no point getting mad at me because I was right. Maybe you won't spike the ball in the end zone too early next time. Maybe you will reconsider giving Trump's boots a tongue bath in the future. Premature celebrations and wishful thinking is something we have all been guilty of.

Mad? I've been on messages board for 15 years too. I recognize a melt down rant like this.
I ignore the TDS and see if you have any real point to make

still no negotiations, still only a statement understanding without a timeline. It's in a stall. see what happens.
I noticed Kim couldn't get out of Singapore fast enough.
I think he's overwhelmed with modern consumer tech.' He was a real deer in the headlights at the press conference

"Nothing ventured nothing gained" < You and the so called anti-war left should be applauding this.
    Give Peace a Chance.

There is no real antiwar left anymore.
Democrats carry Libya, the radicals are too infected with Trump spite/hate to rationally agree tht
talking is better then missile testing.

It's intellectually dishonest to try to portray criticism of what happened as being "pro war" somehow.

This was strictly amateur hour; it's okay to point that out, and still advocate for peace. Trump giving a ruthless dictator a stronger position is not what I consider to be "antiwar."

I didn't say it was "pro war" -that is a ridiculous stance.
I said the left has no real anti-war coalition anymore, except Bernie's aversion to America leadership
    (coalitions instead)..

No it wasn't "amateur hour" it was 2 leaders of vastly different nations looking for a way out of war.

NK of course wants it all (I'm not sure if Kim even wants modernization).
But both are rational actors, and both were upping the stakes

I realize many including Trump jumped the shark rhetoric, but exuberance for peace is ok for a bit too.

Pompeo is gonna play this out, and he knows what he's doing. It's a process

Bomb the shit out of them or just accept they have nukes. These are the only two options that have been on the table for over a decade.

    What is different now?

Notice NK's rhetoric now - nowhere near as bellicose towards war. Talking / meeting reduced the tensions

Yep...its the fault of YOUR NATION, not the psycho midget dictator. Like I always say..... Liberals are the only politicians on earth who would bury themselves in order to prove they can use a shovel. It must be a GOOD THING when peace on the Korean Peninsula falls apart beside they HATE the person who is attempting to accomplish what the liberals have failed to accomplish in 80 years. It does not matter that the fake news has had a 95% rate of showing negative coverage with this attempted de'tente. What party represents the real WAR MONGERING?

Don't look know but your BIGTORY and HATE is showing. Joseph Goebbels would be real proud of you fascists.

    you never pay attention.
Have you no memory of "pushing buttons", and ICBM's flying across Japan?

If that trajectory hadn't changed, we'd be on a hair trigger -anything bad could have set off war.

We risked nothing, I agree. Trump's looks like a fool, but then that was already well established.

have no idea what you mean "not the first opportunity".
It was under Trump. Obama's "strategic patience" just kicked the can down the road to Trump.

Bear in mind NK is still an existential threat once they achieve reentry ICBMS and full miniaturization.
That cannot be allowed to stand -hence the "inevitable war" path we were on.
All that testing stopped,as well as booster engine design

Bill Clinton gave billions. Trump risked nothing and got a pause in the hostilities with a chance for denuke.
