Because we are not that different.

I will explain why for me.... I see you as a rational person who moves towards facts when presented as they are, neutral. I think you KNOW that because of your life. You express your spirit by your name and you have always been a sailor. I get that. Most may not but I do. I get you are an authentic soul who looks for the ever changing seas of reality but do it from the framework of a worker at sea, with fact, control and life and death at every opportunity. That's why I want to know you more. As a Crow, I get you. Thank you for being you. Your story though humble for you is worthy of knowing for others like me.

So am I tho. but of a different one, one that encapsulates democracy, capitalism and rule of law. Yes these dumb shits give it to the 'team' but they miss because 'team' how they are being played. BOTH (private clubs) parties play that. One is an honest asshole the other is a hypocrite. Fight over that, oh wait you do. What a waste of time... What else is knew? What are 'you' going to do with it. ALL of you who read this.

    Fuck your parties.
    Fuck third party.
    Maybe Rank choice, voting?

Just a start on our pro-education camp.
Yeah, we've known each other for about 10 years now.

And you still use a thousand word rambling posts in order to obfuscate the fact that you are saying nothing. What's your point, Crow?

Do you want to replace fiat currency? ... or just have more QEs and negative interest rates?

Do you want to eliminate the "rich"? ... abolish the right to inheritance to achieve your "true equality"?

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

Crow, for the first time in decades I fell speechless reading this. Your insight into worldly things are through the eyes of an artist. An artist sees and senses things others miss completely. What I love about that is you see life through your own eyes, see the importance of it that others miss and have the very rare ability to bring others clearly through word, painting and other forms of expression. People like you ( and their are not many) change the world. That one picture, painting or sculpture makes a person stop, think and realize the enormity of the world around them. And how precious it is. That innate ability comes from a spirit that may not have had a good start in life and through that wants to (and does) ensure that everyone around you sees the beauty and courage in life. Not the hate. This world needs people like you Crow. Desperately my friend.

    Huh?

While communism can be many different things, I have never heard of anyone call it "absence of the state"?
In general, communism is where workers pool resources in order to build communally owned means of production that individuals could not have been able to afford alone.
The best way to organize communal pooling of resources, most people assume government would have much more involvement than in a capitalist society.
And of course that is the risk.
With more government involvement to pool and invest capital in production, the easier it is for government to become corrupt.

And the reason your post was so suspect is that Somalia is not at all communist, and is one of the more capitalist countries in Africa, with independent warlords out to make a profit.

    Being human.

Do you want to replace fiat currency? ... or just have more QEs and negative interest rates?
Absolutely do NOT want to replace Fiat currency. I want to shine a light on what it is and the fact that the financial elite completely understand it and obfuscate it for those that do not have a full understanding of modern currency and most of those that do not understand it have been folks like you and I here.

Do you want to eliminate the "rich"? ... abolish the right to inheritance to achieve your "true equality"?
    Sigh...
As usual you go to your cartoonish leading question. So predictable.

At no point was I EVER stating or implying being rich is a problem. So now that we dispensed with your cartoon questions let's get back to reality.

The 'right' to inheritance.... it is a complex story hashed out over and over in history and very specifically in great Britain. Our country through the colonies is a direct heritage of that struggle. Our form of government is it's expression. In that revolutionary birth of a true first democracy, it was understood that too much inherited wealth eventually could lead to barons owning a disproportionate share of wealth in a democratic community. Representative democratic government was designed to hold into account through the voting people a limit on the natural inclination to hoard wealth through generations that ultimately create kings. So the 'right to inheritance' is giving taxing conditions from a Democratic Republic so that it does not put a disproportionate burden on the general population turning them into servants or Surfs of inherited wealth.

I know that's not soundbite enough for you and just looks like a bunch of rambling information. I get that. It happens for some people, like yourself.

    That's why you are you.

Brother thank you for your perception. I am deeply thankful that you see me, and you do. That is a rare gift with you as well, and I know there are more around us than care to publicly admit.

I have chosen to limit myself more to threads like this over time to express a bit above the fray, to gain perspective and hopefully move a discussion towards the core issue we are woven in
this world we're apart of. It's about understanding the nature of modern currency, money. It's our core philosophy of shared agreeance, existence. It is the game we struggle for and play against one another. Yet most of us, me included don't know shit about it.

What you and I have established in a very simple and human way is that value is not primarily money, it's connection. I thank you for that my friend.

Knowing value is an important clue to understanding modern Fiat currency.

Cheep gaudy hotels with Golden last names is not value, it's manipulation. Something many of us need to be reminded of now more than ever.

First, Ford was not a king

    Caesar didn't build Rome

    No more comment.

    All good.

    Time to liven it up...

Let's talk about It's an idea. An idea understood by a select few, today.

Most of us here think in gold standard. We argue from gold standard, we live by design from gold standard. I say by design because world currency is no longer limited by minerals, it is limited by community output. A select group economic winners of legacy (mineral based) capitalism think you should ONLY understand their mineral legacy, while they sit at the vanguard and with 'interest' dividing you like peasants.
    ONE p writ large.

Trickle down... to the hate brigade....
    FUCKING Dumb asses.

    ALL OF US

Because what I am going to bring will piss all sides off.

MMT is a lie for those that live in the mineral state.... not u or i

IN reality, we are being played by the Barons again.

MMT is the reality, we just have not caught up.

    they have

    We are IN MMT.

    Just saying....

I'm a die-hard Ford man. Edsel did not "bring down" Ford. Henry, as innovative as he was, never wanted to change from the Model T. It was Edsel who finally got him to introduce the Model A because Ford was losing sales to the other manufacturers.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Of course the FF's did not abolish the right to inheritance to prevent the creation of Kings and Barons, moron. Neither did they tax it to prevent the creation of Kings and Barons, FFS.

    Don't doubt me.

You neither responded or said anything. You went off on some idiotic FF (inside) tangent that's in reality only in YOUR head.

Thank you for making me special on this thread when I never addressed you directly. You saw me talk to someone else and decided to make your presence.

In doing so you revealed exactly what I was pointing to but I will give the random reader the space to interpret.
