    Default #walkaway

#walkaway is the #3 trending hashtag on Twitter and it’s about Democrats walking away from their party. It’s not about Trump so much [no, not everything is about Trump lol] but reflects discontent with the radical direction the party has taken.

    Here is a sample:

I grew up in California. I decided to #WalkAway A few weeks ago while discussing immigration with a friend and was called a Nazi sympathizer for stating facts. I'm hispanic and my parents immigrated to the US from Mexico. How did this happen?

I did my own #walkaway this year. Voted D all my life since I was 18. I'm 42 now and just voted straight R ticket in the CA primary. Never felt better.

I'm loving the #WalkAway movement! It's refreshing to see Americans who realize their country is being destroyed by the radical left and wake up to the truth.

It’s showed 950 Tweets in the last hour.

That’s pretty active. Think someone in the media should report on it lol?

That’s nothing, are you new to Twitter? Trending tweets on my feed have over 6,000. I think they are individualized by what you follow.

Trending hashtags on Twitter are predominantly social media nonsense and you have to keep in mind it’s global.

But 950/Tweets an hour—for a hashtag devoted to US party politics is pretty active. But if you think there’s nothing to worry about it’s all good lol.

If you think it’s nonsense, why did you post this as if it meant something?

Foreign persons often comment on US topics, there are a lot of bots, still.

I am not too too concerned about it, I am not a Democrat, but I vote for progressives, who tend to be Democrats. I imagine most of the people posting their regrets will do the same.

Do they? ... I thought Greens were the progressive party.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

What's the deal with libs who claim they aren't democrats, but march in lockstep with them? Serious question, no snark intended.

I don’t march in lockstep with them, so your premise is incorrect.

    The deal is this:

Some 5 million people on Facebook and YouTube have seen the video by now. A very handsome gay man, who you just assume is about to scold you on progressive talking points, instead says this:

“Once upon a time, I was a liberal. Well, to be honest, less than a year ago, I was still a liberal. I reject a system which allows an ambitious, misinformed and dogmatic mob to suppress free speech, create false narratives, and apathetically steamroll over the truth.”

And then this devastating line—the Rosa Parks moment of the video: “I reject hate.”

If DEMOCRATS were still able to watch the rest of the video without suffering a nervous breakdown, they’d see that it quickly got worse.

“These are the reasons why I became a liberal. And these are the same reasons why I am now walking away.”

Meet Brandon Straka, the unlikely liberator and new face of the “silent minority” of Americans who’ve been cast out by family and friends, fired from jobs, and forced into silent social ghettos for their failure to “get it” about how hateful and dangerous Donald Trump is, and why he and all his supporters should be subjected to an ever-expanding social and professional fatwa.

Since Straka published his confessional video on May 26, his life as a New York City hairdresser and aspiring actor has been overtaken by a tidal wave.

While speaking to reporters about the explosion of his #WalkAway campaign, Straka had to occasionally stop while fielding a constant barrage of newcomers’ testimonial letters, videos, and emails—over 1,000 a day.

Those who have the courage post their own video testimonials about the moment when the abuse, rage, and ugliness of the DEMOCRATS caused them to finally leave the party and “walk away.”

“This is so much more than a hashtag on Twitter,” he said. “This is a testimonial campaign, a grassroots movement that is going to change the political landscape of this country.”

And that’s the astonishing twist here: If these people have been driven into the arms of Donald Trump, who’s left on the left?
