How about we put a stop to that? Sounds like we need wall on the southern border.
Many Europeans "forced" their children out of their home countries back in the '30s and '40s because it was an act of mercy to keep them alive. Yet repubs criticize Central American families for wanting their kids to survive violence.

Granted, there are some limp republicans as well. But congressional Democrats would rather have holes drilled in their knee caps than vote to fund the wall.

Why? Because the dirty little secret is the immigration *issue* is important for them and the wall would all but eliminate the issue. It gives them ammo to paint Republicans as Nazis. They don’t want to resolve it. Note how it got everyone on a different subject than the economy, progress with NK or the IG report.
trump swore that Mexico would pay for the wall and now deceitful deplorables are making it a Democratic issue.

Europe today, is much more relevant to the debate.

    How’s it going over there?

I couldn’t care less who pays for it lol.

So long as it pays for itself. Let’s build it so we can see who is right.

You brought it up. Most parents would do anything to keep their children alive even if it involves sending them away.

Things aren’t exactly going swimmingly for the Europeans on immigration lol.

Many parents would do what you say. Many not so good parents, would use their kids to get into this country. And many really not so good, people, would use kids to get into this country.

To them, the kids are an expendable commodity. I don’t feel particularly good about things knowing my government is basically encouraging all of that because they refuse to take the political risks in doing something meaningful about it.

As a matter of fact, I think it makes us pretty immoral.

It's not to the betterment of the USA to take in all of central Americas problems. America first.

This immigration issue will help Trump and the GOP in the mid terms.

Trump enacted the Muslim immigration ban to protect Americans. It was Democrats who fought that ban and showed they don't care about the safety of Americans.

If these people weren't given jobs by the business owners who depend on their cheap labor, the flow would dry up.

No wall is possible. The wall would go on private land . it would face lawsuits from owners who do not want a wall on their property. Some wall extensions have been in the court system for a decade. Of course a ruthless use of eminent domain would please the rightys. Just take their land. Throw a few billion tax dollars their way. 35 billion for starters on a wall. Law suits, and court time, priceless. But isn't Mexico supposed to pay for it?

So they should be fined for every illegal worker they employ.
