Every time I see Kasich on one of the cable shows, I'm still astounded that someone as capable, intelligent & accomplished as him did not get the nomination, and that you allowed for someone like Trump instead. It's tragic, really. It will go down as one of the real lost opportunities in American history.
Kasich was a mumble-mouth who was for the TPP - not even Bernie ( and eventually Hillary) wanted that mess

    More marginalization.

Kasich is better than Trump in every possible area by about 1,000 miles. He was the outsider before being an outsider was cool. He actually has a record of accomplishment. He's intelligent and thoughtful, and works well w/ others. He is everything Trump is not.

The fact that Trump beat him in the primary says infinitely more about primary voters than it does about the quality of the candidates.

you don't get it. "Better " is subjective. He's a globalist.
He would have us in the TPP - that is unacceptable. He has little clues on foreign policy.

He's vanilla milk in an era when we want tutti fruity to mix it up for America First.

He is a moron for going Dem. He could easily help strengthen a THIRD PARTY.

He is a lickspittle spineless fool.

sigh. Again because his policies would be a continuation of bush and what Romney would have done. Trump is actually a good approximation of what Perot would have looked like as president except Trump has more media savvy.

Schmidt and the other people like him want the old GOP to continue. We want the GOP that would have been born if Perot had won in his run. Schmidt needs to accept that or go to the Dems.

I actually get that, but you picked the wrong guy to carry that torch. I don't think most Trump enthusiasts realize how many values and priorities they have compromised just to change course.

It was reckless to elect him. Bull-in-a-china shop stuff. Now, you may have wanted to see the china shop smashed to pieces, but I don't think many have considered the aftermath.

There was no other choice but Trump. Nobody else ran on MAGA ( the idea not the slogan).

Once he go the nomination it was him or Hillary who was 100% unacceptable..

It's a choice the GOP (and the rest of us, unfortunately) will have to live with.
