he should use his power to stop the extremely biased money wasting resource wasting witch hunt,
but unfortunately even he has to be worried about the optics of such move

and has concluded that letting it run it's course, and the American people witnessing with their own eyes how stupid the whole thing was, in the end, is probably the best route forward anyway
