No, it wasn't. He said the markets began going back up right as Obama came into office. It wasn't due to anything he did. That is correct. The markets bottomed in early March 2009. A little over a month after Obama came in to office. While Obama did some good things to help keep it moving forward, it wasn't as if he magically turned the tide.

That isn't "as soon as." The markets turned when the stimulus passed. The markets turned SPECIFICALLY when the stimulus passed. That's why Obama's admin exaggerated some of the promises - they knew they had to pass it fast. It really didn't matter what was in it; the idea was to give investors confidence, because the private sector was doing no hiring.

It worked. I know that's a tough one for the right, but it worked.
