Default Trump's tariffs on China will benefit America and are long overdue

By acting decisively, the president has once again proven that he will take on the toughest of foreign policy challenges, knowing there could be major political repercussions. And while many pundits are calling the president’s action a mistake, the start of a potential trade war or even foolish, I have a better definition: it’s called leadership.

President Trump framed Thursday’s actions as a response to blatantly unfair and improper Chinese rules that force U.S. firms seeking to access the Chinese market to form joint ventures with Chinese companies.

    Thank you, President Trump.

Trump is actually correct that the Chinese have smarter leaders than us. Their CO2 emissions are set to peak in the year 2030 and then steadily reduce from there. They've invested billions in green energy and have a per capita carbon footprint lower than the Western world. Wages are rising, and projects to move the poor from impoverished rural areas to new urban centers are being undertaken as we speak. That's why the West is reducing their investments and moving to places with cheaper labor like Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and more recently Nigeria.

A tariff is a tax on consumers. it means higher prices for Americans. Higher prices are inflationary. The country tariffed will respond and a trade war can result. All of this loses jobs. But trump know business. Well like a high school kid in economics classes does.

When Welch was head of GE, he said he wishes he could put his plants on barges and move to where he could get the best deal. That is how much corporation care about America. Just a market.

Developed or developing is arguable either way. I’d say developing but they don’t need the benefit of that status due to the immense wealth they have. Every major corporation in China has the government as your majority partner. And top down, they can do whatever the fuck they please without a pesky democracy.

He said it was a favor to Xi Jinping to hold off a trade war.

He also "proposed to allow the networking gear and smartphone maker to remain in business after paying a $1.3 billion fine, changing its management and board, and providing “high-level security guarantees.”

Which is still not cool because of what that piece of shit company tried to do in the first place.

That's because, per capita, they have a very low concentration of finance capital.

American capitalists see China as a great market for goods with a long long future. They are growing consumers for their goods. American capitalists do not care what China's leaders do as long as their profits are growing. They also see America as a market, just a market.
