Romans 13 All of you must obey the government rulers. Everyone who rules was given the power to rule by God. And all those who rule now were given that power by God. So anyone who is against the government is really against something God has commanded.

Romans 13 was used to justify slavery.

The reason Romans 13 justifies anything is the same reason the US RULE OF LAW supported "slavery" until the Rule of Law changed. Call it anything you wish but when someone's freedom is controlled by anyone else its still slavery. The US justifies this type of slavery because of the crimes performed against THE PEOPLE...so they make the criminals "property of the state" until such time as a predetermined pardon is earned or the debt to society has been paid in full.

The same for the peoples of Biblical Israel......what would you expect them to do with those who committed crimes against their society or those captured in combat considering the nation was made up tribes of nomads with no formal prison system?

People are ignorant or feign stupidity when it comes to the attempt to discredit Biblical Scripture. Now consider the phrase "All men are created equal...…" found to exist in this nation's founding history. Was the phrase a lie because society openly accepted slavery and included it in its rule of law? Of course that phrase was not a lie...…. Truth does not evolve, people do. When society decided to reform its moral compass and conclude that the buying and selling of human flesh as a commodity was wrong......the US RULE OF LAW evolved to reflect that social more'.

There are other passages of scripture that explain in detail about the type of slavery endorsed by Biblical Israel. 1. Read 1 Tim. 1: 9-10....there you will find the same author (the apostle Paul) of the passage that you are equating as supporting SLAVERY as ,YOU DEFINE it, states very clearly that he condemns the kidnapping and selling of human beings and compares those who practices such with liars, murderers etc., So you are attempting to present a false premise. That Paul's idea of slavery and yours are the same.


And what would you call the US CODE that allowed indentured servitude in the US ARMED FORCES..i.e., THE DRAFT...which every well bodied young man must register for to be called upon when required by law? Slavery by any other name is not a Rose.


Read, comprehend. 1 Tim. 1:9-10 "Knowing this, that the law is not made for righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient; for ungodly and sinner, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and mothers, for manslayers. For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, FOR MANSTEALERS...…...etc., " Paul is clearly condemning SLAVERY as you would have it defined.....the stealing and selling of innocent humans. That's the reason given by PAUL as to why you should obey the LAW.....because a righteous person obeys the law.


For someone that declares themselves educated and enlightened you sure display COMPREHENSION PROBLEMS when it comes to reading and relaying the actual content and context of the Holy Scriptures. I wonder why? Could be that you are a Bigot?
