The Arabs were aware of Hitler. By 1939 every Arab state has signed on with the Allies.

Certainly the Grand Mufti knew all about him.

The timing of the meeting is critical to understanding it and placing it in context. In late November 1941, as World War II continued, German troops had besieged Leningrad and had reached the outskirts of Moscow. A great many observers all over the world had expected the USSR to have collapsed under the weight of the attack Hitler had unleashed that June, and it was not yet clear that Germany was not about to defeat the Soviet Union. Equally importantly, although the negotiations between the United States and Japan that were designed to preserve peace in the Pacific seemed about to fail, the United States was not yet in the war. When Hitler and al-Husseini met, both leaders clearly believed that Germany was going to win, and the bulk of their conversation dealt with what the Arabs should or should not do help bring that outcome about.

Al-Husseini began the conversation by declaring that the Germans and the Arabs had the same enemies: “the English, the Jews, and the Communists.” He proposed an Arab revolt all across the Middle East to fight the Jews; the English, who still ruled Palestine and controlled Iraq and Egypt; and even the French, who controlled Syria and Lebanon. (The British had secured a mandate for Palestine at the Paris peace conference in 1919, and made halting attempts to create a “Jewish national home” there without prejudicing the rights of the Arab population.) He also wanted to form an Arab legion, using Arab prisoners from the French Empire who were then POWs inside Germany. He also asked Hitler to declare publicly, as the German government had privately, that it favored “the elimination of the Jewish national home” in Palestine.

Just so you know, farang is a Thai word meaning foreigner. It is not in the least bit derogatory and is derived from the word farangsay (Francais) in Thai.
My Thai is slightly underdeveloped, and, there's a few posters who give you grief that I don't play close attention to.

They were pretty adamant on getting Israel. I was told that someone wanted to offer them land in present day Uruguay, and it was turned down because it isn't the holy land.

Israelis have right to their own land, says Saudi Crown Prince . Khazar Kingdom? I think it belongs to the Russians now. Munich? Or wherever it was in Austria that their great leader was actually born? Heil Hitler and the three-and-a-bit Reich!

The population of Palestine had doubled in 15 years with the influx of 600,000 European Jews prior to the war. The Mufti wanted to stop that.. The Israelis have changed the narrative to paint themselves as victims..

Can you imagine if the population of England doubled in 15 years with foreigners who didn't speak English and despised the culture?

Hitler only met with the Mufti for 10 minutes and refused to shake his hand.. He considered the Arabs to be "mud people" and as inferior as the Jews.

The Mufti tried desperately to open an alternative sanctuary in Spain for Jews fleeing the Reich and succeeded, however the Zionists put the kibosh on that.

Also Madagascar.. but there was already people living in Madagascar.. a Christian majority, 3% Muslim and the rest indigenous. There would have been conflict there as well with the Zionists.

Oh you're so full of it, why do you always try to gloss over the facts?

The Israelis have reinvented the Mufti since 1967... Try reading some contemporaneous writings from the 1930s and 1940s?

The Jews have a lot of experience in rewriting history.. They have done it for 3,000 years.

Just in passing, who appointed the Mufti?

Until about the 19th Century, I'm not aware of the Jews having much power to influence the rewriting of much of anything. I mean, they were enslaved by the Egyptians, captured by the Babylonians, and occupied by the Greeks and Romans. Then they had to contend with the forces of Europe and Islam.
