As usual, you're talking out of your ass.
It was recently revealed that the Publix supermarket chain, a Florida based company that has it's highest concentration of stores in Florida, the same state Hogg is a resident of and the same state that the Parkland High School gun massacre occurred, had donated tens of thousands of dollars to the election campaign of Florida Agriculture Commissioner and far right redneck idiot NRA ass spreader Adam Putnam, who is running for Governor.
Hence, the reason he targeted Publix.
And it worked too. Publix announced yesterday that it would suspend all political activity and campaign contributions effective immediately.
I hope that sticks in your craw and pisses you off bigly.

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

So back up your claims with some facts.
Has he personally profited from his activism?
If so, how much money has he made?
Has he received a high paying position with some big corporation or govt agency as a result of his activism?
Has Hollywood bought the rights to his story for millions of dollars?
Tell us exactly how "his own interests" have been served by what he's doing.

It is. Their envy and spite are fueled by their fear that finally this country will wake up and do something about gun violence. Of course to them this means immediate confiscation of all firearms, because that is just how stupid they are. Several excellent examples of their cretinism are right here on this page.
It almost seems as if their very identity is tied up in the firearms they own and without them they would be, what...ordinary? I don't know but very few people have called for banning all together of weapons but that is absolutely all they hear. YOU CAN'T TAKE MY GUNS! Is all they can contribute to the discussion.

Yep. That's one thing that I like about living up here. There are guns a-plenty because hunting is a huge sport here. But the culture is different. Guns are seen merely as tools used in pursuit of that sport, and not the way the gunhumpers here talk about them, as though they were part of their very bodies. When local news media post gun massacre stories on their social media, you don't see all the screams from the gunhumpers about prying guns out of their cold dead hands like you do here -- or where we used to live. In fact, gun owners here seem to agree that we need more regulation of the firearms most commonly-used in these massacres.
