How about Rocket Man shows weakness and is deposed by his own generals who sue for peace with the ROK and reunite the peninsula?

    There's a scenario.

Their submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) program is still in tests, and can only be launched from barges.

If they don't starve to death or run out of money ( foreign currency) they might get there.

Which is why Trump is saying this cannot stand ( ICBMs with warheads capable of reaching USA)

You strike me as some partisan hack that is only interested in a Blue Team/Red Team conversation. So, I have zero interest in discussing anything with you. It would be a real waste of time. I see your types all the time. Your main goal is to listen to yourself talk. I'm an American. I support the American Way.

I accept your abject admission that you are out of your depth.

BTW, the American way is to win.

so what do you want Jack?
Nobody said this was going to be a cakewalk-it's only because of 'maximum pressure' we got this far.

Play it out without being afraid to walk away seems to be working this far.

Actually, the biggest impediment to us winning wars is that shit stain liberals will actively be rooting for the other side if there's a Republican in the White House. No nads is a perfect example.
No, the biggest impediment to us winning wars is that we don't fight to win them. We struggle to prolong them. Wars go a long way to keeping the U.S. Ponzi Scheme running.

That’s what’s good about this. It’s why Trump needs to keep the pressure on.

There is more than one ‘win scenario’ with Kim.

If our policy is a non-nuclear world, then Kim acquiring nuclear weapons is a defeat of our Policy.
If NK acquires nukes, why not Iran? Why not Saudis? Why not Gulf States? Why not Japan?
We've declared that we will not tolerate NK (along with Iran) going 'nuclear'.
They have spit in our face and said "We have 50 atomic bombs, what are you going to do about it, punk-ass bitch"
Our response is "Hey, let's Talk".

    A little embarrassing.

I think he could give up his nuclear weapons if the family regime survival is guaranteed in perpetuity by the USA.
I think that is the one deal they would sign onto. It would have to be a matter that is irrevocable in some manner.
An undertaking that would survive the democratic transfer of power in our own country thereby impinging on the treaty power.
It would be a monumental task that practically would need to be enforced by the UN against the US should we breach,
perhaps with a draconian levy against the US for so doing.

The deterrent value to Kim of his nukes, whatever that may be, is probably incalcuable (sp?) to him. He probably figures
his life and the power structure of his cult country depends on it.
