    Default Simple question,

We hear Trump's waterboys in the House repeatingly telling us such as "Americans deserve to know the truth (Gowdy)," "Americans deserve answers (Jordon)," "Americans deserve to know the information (Nunes)," yet, on something as relevant as Trump's business connections or even tax returns they have nothing to say

Secretary of State Pompeo was embarassed by Senator Udall in Committee hearings when he asked the same question, attempting to deflect calling it an "outrageous" question, but wouldn't it be important to know if Trump's business might possibly present a conflict of interest in foreign policy?

Don't "Americans deserve to know the truth," "deserve answers," deserve to know the information?"

So how long until the republicans who were in the meetingcome out and say they have seen the proof that the FBI/Obama/Hillary/fill in the blank planted a spy in the Trump campaign but can't talk about it because it's classified?

Likely scenario, maybe we will get another Nunes's memo, but they did finally allow a Democrat to attend, didn't want to appear too partisan, all they have to do is plant inneundos to muddle the water

Amazing thing is that the White House is also going to have a representative present in the meeting, that is like having a Al Capone henchman sitting in one of Elliot Ness's staff meetings discussing how they investigate Capone. But I guess it matters little, Nunes and Gowdy serve the same purpose

So why the needed oversight on one item but not the other?

And following up on a baseless narrative initiated by Trump with zero proof isn't oversight

I think everyone knows this 'Spygate' is an obvious disinformation program run by Trump Loyalists.

    a complete and utter misunderstanding.

Kelly is there to arbitrate release of what is truly classified (sources and methods)
and what has been routinely rejected or so heavily redacted as to be worthless.

Take the name of the informant- we all know who it is -so why cling to sources and methods in that case.

Recall Clapper was denying a informant as late as last March..THEY LIE. THEY DECEIVE.
DoJ is covering it up -why?

You are against transparency..check your motives

this is not "baseless". There is much evidence of FISA abuses, a shifting timeline, and what was the EC founded on.
This is not ( directly) about Mueller either.

Well, you didn't address the seemingly selective use of "oversight," but we'll move on

Kelly is the White House Chief of Staff, he isn't there to arbitrate, nothing personal, but you'd have to be naive to believe that, he is there to directly report to the White House and Trump attorneys what is disclosed and discussed. Fox will have their talking points an hour after he returns to Pennsylvania Avenue

Least you admit he was an informant and not "spy" as the entire right wing media is propagandizing, and it is only a "concern" now because the President issued a totally baseless fabrication that there was a spy in his campaign without offering one iota of proof

And don't even go there being a Trump supporter regarding another individual lying, it's like Lance Armstrong accusing another athlete of doping

Not oversight, rather manipulating and using your position for personal aims

No, no, no, see you either are obstinate, drunk on the Kool Aid, or you just don't get it, what is transporting today is totally the result of Trump fabricating that the FBI placed a spy in his campaign, he offered no proof, what you cited above, much of which has been debunked, has absolutely nothing to do with today's events.

Trump threatened the Justice Dept., an unprecedented move on its own, they caved and have his waterboys in the House today's meeting as a compromise. The intent here is obtain enough circumstantial evidence to initiate new innuendoes to muddle the picture further
