What a bunch of unqualified dopes Trump has on staff. But then, they are just like him.
IOW, no matter what Trump does you will complain.

He also said that if he did not believe that a deal with Kim would bear fruit, he would not engage in a meeting in the first place. It's up to Kim to want to move HIS country into a peaceful prosperous future or NOT. The door is open.

We'll see in the next few weeks if Kim really got rid of his nuke projects or not. Over the years the U.S. has tried diplomacy and now a more direct approach. Kim's gonna do what Kim's gonna do.
. The meeting wasn't a certainty, while any number of you right wing fools were demanding the Nobel prize for Trump. Are you still selling those Trump/Kim commemorative coins?

I think the writing was on the wall that Kim was gonna pull out so Trump did it first. Brilliant move! Trump is playing Kim.
    Good letter, too, BTW.

Who was? I wasn't. I never once chimed in. Obviously a NPP would be in order if the mission was accomplished. It's up to Kim.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

This what a letter from a real President looks like...

    Dear Mr. President:

I am pleased to confirm, following high-level discussions between our two governments, and in accordance with international law and practice, that the United States of America and the Republic of Cuba have decided to re-establish diplomatic relations and permanent diplomatic missions in our respective countries on July 20, 2015. This is an important step forward in the process of normalizing relations between our two countries and peoples that we initiated last December.

In making this decision, the United States is encouraged by the reciprocal intention to develop respectful and cooperative relations between our two peoples and governments consistent with the Purposes and Principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, including those related to sovereign equality of States, settlement of international disputes by peaceful means, respect for the territorial integrity and political independence of States, respect for equal rights and self-determination of peoples, non-interference in the internal affairs of States, and promotion and encouragement of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all.

The United States and Cuba are each parties to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, signed at Vienna on April 18, 1961, and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, signed at Vienna on April 24, 1963. I am pleased to confirm the understanding of the United States that these agreements will apply to diplomatic and consular relations between our two countries.

    Sincerely,

    Barack Obama

    So you're saying it's a good letter. I agree.

Of course he didn't write it. He formulated his ideas and put it together with advisors. I do the same when writing a serious letter. I write it, wife critiques it, rewrite it, wife critiques it again, rinse and repeat until it's ready.

We were informed that the meeting was requested by North Korea, but that to us is totally irrelevant. I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.

I felt a wonderful dialogue was building up between you and me, and ultimately, it is only that dialogue that matters. Some day, I look very much forward to meeting you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages who are now home with their families. That was a beautiful gesture and was very much appreciated.

If you change your mind having to do with this most important summit, please do not hesitate to call me or write. The world, and North Korea in particular, has lost a great opportunity for lasting peace and great prosperity and wealth. This missed opportunity is a truly sad moment in history.

    Sincerely yours,

    Donald J. Trump
President of the United States of America
He actually let an intelligent person write the letter. I’m amazed at the respect and dignity he treats Kim Jung Un with, It’s nicer than the way he treats John McCain.
