Trump is an extremely talented marketer / promoter.
Trump strongly favors extremes and superlatives in his own speech. It's so predictable it's difficult to take him seriously.
I can't fault Trump for ambition. Many stalwart Trump critics, Democrats among them acknowledge that if Trump succeeded in ending the Korean War, and denuclearizing NK, it would be worthy of Nobel prize.
But so far what we have from Trump, more than a year into his presidency:
"I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's gunna be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now." Candidate Trump on "repeal & replace" 15/09/27 to CBS Scott Pelly
"Nobody knows the system better than me." "Which is why I alone can fix it." presidential candidate Trump 16/07/21 from the campaign podium
“Nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated.” President Trump
I wouldn't hold my breath awaiting Trump success w/ KJU next month. Trump's approach is so artless, there's substantial question about whether such meeting will even occur. Yet another manifestation of Trump administration dysfunction.
"It should be obvious to anyone why conservatives and libertarians should be against Trump. He has no grounding in belief. No core philosophy. No morals. No loyalty. No curiosity. No empathy and no understanding. He demands personal loyalty and not loyalty to the nation. His only core belief is in his own superiority to everyone else. His only want is exercise more and more personal power." smb / purveyor of fact 18/03/18
