President Trump refocused America’s strategy in Afghanistan, providing enhanced military resources to fight ISIS and the Taliban, and outlining a conditions-based strategy for peace.

Requested and received an additional $21 billion in Department of Defense funding to address urgent readiness shortfalls

President Trump has worked with partners and allies in the Middle East to enhance counterterrorism cooperation, including through the creation of the U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council Terrorist Financing Targeting Center and joint sanctions designations of Al al-Qa’ida and ISIS terrorists.

In November, President Trump conducted the longest trip to Asia by an American president in 25 years where he rallied Asian nations to maximize pressure on North Korea, outlined his vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific region, and advanced fair and reciprocal trade.

August 2, 2017—President Trump signed a bill into law that, despite its flaws, enacted additional sanctions against Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

February 3, 2017—After Iran tested a ballistic missile in apparent violation of a UN Security Council resolution, the Trump Administration instituted unilateral economic sanctions against 13 Iranian individuals and 12 companies.

May 17, 2017—The Trump Administration imposed additional sanctions on an Iranian national, an Iranian company, a Chinese national, and three Chinese companies (because of Chinese dealings related to Iran's nuclear program).

July 18, 2017—Despite recertifying the Iran nuclear deal the day earlier, the Trump Administration imposed sanctions on 18 Iranian individuals and entities for supporting the nation's non-nuclear weapon programs and support for terrorists.

September 14, 2017—While extending Iran sanctions relief in accordance with the Iran Deal, the Trump Administration imposed new sanctions on eleven Iranian people and companies suspected of supporting the country's ballistic missile program or being involved in cyber-attacks.

October 13, 2017—President Trump, in a strongly-worded speech, announced that he would decertify Iran's compliance with the Iran nuclear deal (known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA) and would give Congress time, under the threat of leaving the agreement entirely, to revise the agreement to make it tougher against Iran.

December 29–31, 2017—In stark contrast to Obama before him, as well as the UN and European leaders concurrently, President Trump and his administration did not hesitate to show his full support for Iranian citizens protesting the Iranian governmental regime. The protests – as well as President Trump's support – extended into 2018.

February 2017—Two U.S. government-run media outlets began broadcasting in Russian in an attempt to counter Russian propaganda.

April 21, 2017—The Trump Administration refused to issue waivers to any companies which wanted to do business with Russia, which was under economic sanctions, including ExxonMobil, which had applied for a waiver.

June 20, 2017—The same day President Trump met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on 38 Russian individuals and entities involved in the conflict with Ukraine.

December 21, 2017—The Trump administration approved the export of lethal small arms to Ukraine, including a multimillion-dollar sniper rifle deal – something the Obama Administration refused to do – ramping up its support for the country in the simmering conflict with Russia-backed separatists.

November 20, 2017—The Trump Administration officially designated North Korea a state sponsor of terror. The next day, the Treasury Department enacted additional sanctions on entities doing business with North Korea, including 13 Chinese and North Korean organizations.

April 4, 2017—The Trump Administration halted U.S. funding of the United Nations Population Fund, which has links to inhumane abortion programs such as China's one-child policy. Instead, the $32.5 million was shifted to the U.S. Agency for International Development.

December 24, 2017—UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced that the United States would cut its contribution to the UN's 2018–19 budget by $285 million.

The Trump Administration successfully secured the release of several American prisoners held in foreign countries that the Obama Administration did not or could not release. It played a large role in successfully helping prevent CIA officer Sabrina de Sousa from being extradited to Italy, with the decision coming on March 1, 2017. On April 21, 2017, Egypt released an Egyptian-American who had been detained for three years. Additionally, according to the father of Otto Warmbier, who was held hostage in North Korea and then released in June 2017, the Obama Administration did not do enough to secure his release while the Trump Administration did secure his release. In November 2017, China released three UCLA basketball players from custody for alleged shoplifting after President Trump asked the president of China to release them.

April 6, 2017—After the Syrian government used chemical weapons on its people, President Trump ordered a one-time airstrike against a Syrian air base, firing 60 cruise missiles at it.

On April 23, 2017, in response to the chemical attacks, the Trump Administration put sanctions on 271 employees of Syria’s Scientific Studies and Research Center, which supported the nation's chemical weapons program.

On June 18, 2017, the United States shot down a Syrian aircraft for the first time, and in response to Russia's warnings, stated that it would do whatever in its national and military interests.

July 11, 2017—In an attempt to solve a diplomatic crisis between Qatar and several other Persian Gulf nations, the U.S. and Qatar signed an agreement for Qatar to increase its counterterrorism measures and to end funding for terrorist groups.

December 6, 2017—In a historic move that went against the international global establishment, President Trump reversed decades of United States policy by officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordering the U.S. Statdfjvivlksvsb's

Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Oh well, maybe Trump can dismantle a real accomplishment like President Obama's in Iran, maybe destabilize another region and claim some sort of victory to
Trump's ignorant loser lemmings in the Fox News bubble who will so willingly support their dictator.

    You stupid fucking losers.
A viable and effective arms agreement takes years of legwork, low level contacts, getting your hands dirty, and sweating the details.

Presidents from Obama, to Reagan, to Jimmy Carter made enormous investments in time, resources, and capital to achieve working agreements.
The international nuclear agreement with Iraq resulted from years of hard work, had broad international support, and was working.

Did Trump, and his boot licking sycophants really think this Orange Hog was just going to parachute in there, achieve lasting results, and win a Nobel Prize to boot? How incompetent and naïve are Trump and his boot lickers? This shit is not like selling frozen steaks! I pray these naïve and clueless boot lickers do not have any jobs with substantial responsibility.

you are hilarious. The reason they gave it to him was for what he was GOING to do. They even said it. Google it.

The Peace Prize has been pretty much of a joke since they gave it to Arafat in ‘94.

And Obama lol, well, he got his Peace Prize then proceeded to get his warmonger on. Obama warmongered in Libya for no sane reason; yet, he wouldn’t warmonger on ISIS until they took over in Iraq. He should be forced to give his Peace Prize back.

The Nobel committee is a leftist bunch that shouldn’t be taken seriously by any thinking person.

That said, I think it would be funny if the Nobel committee was FORCED [with FORCED, being the operative word] to give the Peace Prize to Donald Trump, of all people.

If he pulls off NK, he deserves one. Might even bring an air of much needed legitimacy back to it.

"The Peace Prize has been pretty much of a joke since they gave it to Arafat in ‘94.

    Difficult to disagree with that.
"well, he got his Peace Prize then proceeded to get his warmonger on. Obama warmongered in Libya for no sane reason" DO #126
That's exquisitely easy to disprove *.

The U.S. played no significant role I know of in fomenting the rebellion in Libya. What Obama did was to offer tactical air support, not infantry boots on the ground.

What was the Bush administration's casus belli against Saddam / Iraq?
"Time is not on our side. I will not wait on events while dangers gather. I will not stand by as peril draws closer and closer. The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons." U.S. President Bush (the younger) in his State of the Union speech Jan. 29, 2002

"Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt, that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."
U.S. President Bush (the younger) televised address to the U.S. March 17th, 2003
A falsehood cannot POSSIBLY be a certitude. Bush LIED !! Bush lied us into War. And as a result of those lies Bush killed off more innocent Americans in the 8 years of his administration than bin Laden killed, in those same 8 years.

In vivid contrast Quadaffy was tied to the Lockerbie airliner bombing.
And FYI, there's no statute of limitations on mass murder. Holding a mass-murderer like Quadaffy to account for killing off an airliner full of passengers & crew is not: " for no sane reason" DO #126
"yet, he wouldn’t warmonger on ISIS until they took over in Iraq." DO #126
I don't recall Obama warmongering* at all.

What Obama said was, we're not going to put American boots on the ground to defeat these guys. If you Middle Easterners care, then YOU put the boots on the ground. Then we'll support you.

As an honorably discharged U.S. military veteran I deeply appreciate President Obama's parsimony with U.S. blood. Obama was vastly better than the guy he succeeded.

And you call Obama the warmonger?!

and it was ALL bullshit "intelligence" from Sid Blumenthal and CNN cellphones (NTC video from Bengazi)!

Hillary was chomping at the bit. Sid was egging her on. a UN "no fly"became full regime change because of her
insistence. Defense Sec Gates said she was the deciding voice on the NSC council.

You're accusing President Obama of having been a warmonger. It's simply false.
You asserted Obama didn't engage ISIL until they took over in Iraq. That never happened. ISIL took over significant territory in multiple nation States.
But Obama's position was clear. The U.S. will help. But the boots on the ground won't be filled with U.S. feet.
"The people of Libya who had their country torn apart and taken over by terrorists and slave traders, because of Obama, would disagree." DO
    That's nice.
But it doesn't change the fact that Quadaffy was a fugitive from international justice, a mass murderer.

I'm not any more pleased about the chaos in present day Libya than you are. But my personal discontent with that does not, can not delegtimize international justice.

In any case your double-standard is stunning. You whine about Obama for one of the most successful U.S. military operations in all history. Obama affected regime change in Libya without a single U.S. battle death that I recall. What I recall is one U.S. aircraft shot down. The rebels overthrowing Quadaffy got hold of the U.S. pilot that ejected safely. And those rebels treated the pilot like a celebrity, a hero.

    you blithering idiot.
Qadafi was a member in international good standing and was due a UN humanitarian award.
He was not a "fugitive", and paid reparations for Lockerbie.

Reagan gave him his come to Jesus moment when he bombed his courtyard while he was sleeping outside in a tent
He gave up his nukes willingly in return for protection from US regime change and US aid.
Virtually your entire post is a revisionist lie.

*ugh* we bombed and used Tomahawks as did NATO and were in no real danger of Libya SAMs
We droned his convoy, and he was torn up and shot by a rebel mob.

As a result of our regime change/assassination Libya is a hellhole to this day.
Power outages..no water supplies.. last year they were drilling Tripoli sidewalks to get water when the pumping station went down with no electricity for a prolonged period. Kidnappings ( the prime minister 2x) ISIS...

So stuff that revisionism, and take ownership that Obama created a failed terrorist state.
He does. Obama calls it his greatest failure ( then he blames Cameron) -but no matter he does acknowledge.
Hillary to this day will not call Libya a botched operation

    Operation "Inherent Resolve" my ass.
