No surprise at all. Trump never, ever said that any meeting with Kim is a 100% certainty. He has said for 2 years if they were in a meeting and it didn't look good for U.S. interests, he'd walk. He also said that if he did not believe that a deal with Kim would bear fruit, he would not engage in a meeting in the first place. It's up to Kim to want to move HIS country into a peaceful prosperous future or NOT. The door is open.

We'll see in the next few weeks if Kim really got rid of his nuke projects or not. Over the years the U.S. has tried diplomacy and now a more direct approach. Kim's gonna do what Kim's gonna do.

Overpromising and under-delivering. Most people get fired for it - it seems to be standard practice with Trump.

When you get right down to it, it was Kim that basically rebuffed Trump. I think it had a lot to do with Trump violating the international nuclear agreement with Iraq, and with his advisors threatening "the Libya model" on N. Korea.

How embarrassing for our country that this Orange Hog eagerly leaped to accept a date with Kim, spoke romantically of Kim, only to get rejected and humiliated by a tin pot dictator at the last minute.
