If Americans want to pledge to the flag or stand for the anthem, I'm all for their right to do so. Unlike cons who want to force their version of patriotism on me and others.
I never felt "oppressed" until the Orange Hog started bloviating drastic penalties on those who don't act as he wants them to.

I don't really pay attention to the anthem. I think patriotism is a bullshit concept. I, along with so many others around me, play on my phone, chat with others, eat food, yell at kids, and the list goes on. People are in line for the bathroom, for concessions, coming from the parking lot and that list goes on as well. I have witnessed plenty of times where people don't give two shits about the anthem so obviously they aren't big on patriotism either but NOW, oh boy, now it's stand or you're unAmerican.
Hypocrites.
