Trump is speculating. as usual he's bloviating as well,. He's looking at the 2nd meeting (Xi/Kim)
    but is blind towards Bolton.

There was a guy in NK leadership who specifically blamed Bolton - a high up in charge of their nukes

It's just that the others were not bragging that they were playing him.

At this point I will settle for things not being worse on issues such as North Korea or Iran. I no longer have hope for things being better.

Trump needs a W. Considering he did an advance enzone dance on this shit, maybe his desperation is leaking out.

Excuse me, but isn't Levin that right wing chowderhead and singular hero of the unwashed rubes yearning for brainpower on their side? Am I right as usual?
Doesn't he publish a bunch of con law for high school dropouts? Not that its a bad thing to acquaint these morons with some civics, but they are going to be
immersed from a decidedly biased POV. I say immersed, well OK, maybe bathed but it won't take anyway. Too stupid, the audience.

That is the point I made weeks ago to incredulous Trump boot-lickers.

When Trumpanzees were spiking the ball in the end zone, I told them it was way too early to even remotely consider popping the champagne bottles.

The mistake our Orange Hog made - and Trump boot-lickers howled in protest when I made the point weeks ago - is that Trump was way too fucking eager to leap out of his chair to accept a romantic date with Kim Jong. The optics look bad, and the optics made Trump look weak. Like he was desperate for some kind of political victory to boost his failing presidency.

And then violating and shredding the international nuclear Treaty with Iran just weeks before his summit with Kim - does it even get more foolish than that? What country at this point is going to trust America to keep it's word, to trust the longevity of any agreement made with the United States?

I would barely trust Trump to sell frozen steaks (Didn't "Trump Steaks" go bankrupt?) - let alone play geopolitical poker with ruthless and ensconced communist dictators. Even if this summit happens, I have no confidence in Trump, and the best this incompetent fool can hope for is to get something that might pass for something approximating success -- on paper.

I expect the meeting to happen. But it's only a very first step of declaration of principles-important in their own right-
but with NK it's not the principles but the actions that count.

There has to be metrics, and there has to be transparency of removal.

    Chang is a smart guy in understanding the Chinese mind (Middle Kingdom) and economy;
and rightfully points out their thefts of intellectual property.
But nobody should be predicting war and who's gonna be on whom's side

Both good links for info. Thanks. Listened to a few other vids also on the Bloomberg link. So, am I seeing it maybe too simplistically? According to one of the vids there, someone states that China is double-insulating itself with bonds and not buying from elsewhere. I can see that what they aren't buying here, they're stealing. Trump's proposing a large fine for this. Does the U.S. need to stay tough more then on China?

trump needs the meeting more than Kim, even if it is totally doomed before it happens. Trump will give Kim whatever he wants to hold it because he knows his stupid followers will believe whatever he tells them. Trump will likely hide what he offers Kim. Trump does not hold much respect for telling the truth. His followers will fall right in line. they never question Daffy.

Trump is in the driver's seat. Kim Jong Un will do anything to get this meeting with Trump.

Kim can do what he wants. Trump has broadcasted this meeting and what great accomplishments he will have. He has promised he will push kim wherever he wants. if kim decides not to have the Trump meeting, he still wins. He has met with moon and he is now able to play on the international stage, thanks to rash and stupid Trump. Trump gave that away without Kim even asking. previous presidents did not give NK the international stage . North Korea has begged for that for a long, long time. Trump did not know that or understand it.
