Secondly, note that your conclusion is not supported by the text you cited. Nowhere is a preference for "public education institutions" expressed. You assume those who "say that they would attend a different school if they had a chance to go back and make their college choices again" would choose a "public education institution". That isn't what the report says. Then you attribute the loyalty of those who attended not-for-profit institutions to the school they attended to "the perceived value of public education institutions". That, again isn't stated in the report.

But I also found this tidbit from your report intriguing.

Speaks well to the perceived value of public education institutions.

I always had this palpable feeling that those "for profit" trade schools and vocational schools were just mostly a con job. Profiteering and capitalism at its worst.

I mean, the "Trump Real Estate School". Need I say more?

I was always aghast at those "radio broadcaster schools" I used to see advertised on late night TV. I really don't think that is how Howard Stern got his start.
I think it just depends. I am most skeptical of online only schools.

No. I do not live within 10 miles of my high school.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

"I mean, the "Trump Real Estate School". Need I say more?" C #11

Thanks for the offer C #11. But you take a brief break. Let's see what 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (R-MA) has to say about it. But thanks for getting the ball rolling.
"Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. ... playing the members of the American public for suckers. He gets a free ride to the White House. And all we get is a lousy hat." Mitt Romney
"It should be obvious to anyone why conservatives and libertarians should be against Trump. He has no grounding in belief. No core philosophy. No morals. No loyalty. No curiosity. No empathy and no understanding. He demands personal loyalty and not loyalty to the nation. His only core belief is in his own superiority to everyone else. His only want is exercise more and more personal power." smb / purveyor of fact 18/03/18

    2000+ miles.
    Never look back.
We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.
    Ergo, religion.

    rac·ist
    rāsəst/noun
a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
Ask yourself honestly if this describes what you believe to be true.
If the answer is yes, you are a racist.

Same here. On the rare occasions when I go back to visit, within an hour, I'm thinking, "Okay, now what?"
