I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the Sessions recusal from everything Russian was a Grand Slam for the Swamp. Trump has no real authority over the DOJ—the Swamp runs it now.

At least as far as the Mullet investigation goes.

I doubt that he will take it, but there’s an opening for Sessions: recusals aren’t set in stone. Sessions can stay out of Mullet’s way and still investigate campaign espionage under Obama because it has nothing to do with the investigation of Russian influence in the election or of Trump/Russia.

All Sessions needs to do is tweak his recusal and he’s in the game.

Investigating criminal activity is not "spying".

The FBI agents were sent to London to look into the fact that members of the Trump campaign knew about Russian meddling in the election BEFORE it happened.
That is not "spying" .
That is investigating criminal activity perpertraited by criminals.
