The U.S. has agreed to scrap a training exercise involving B-52 bombers as part joint of military drills with South Korea that have provoked Pyongyang's ire, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing American officials.

According to your own article he is doing that at the request of our ally South Korea to keep the peace process moving. That is not caving, that is compromising to keep things on track. Refreshing for a change.

What would have been more refreshing is not doing this latest one. I wonder if South Korea suggested that?

Military drills of this nature are planned months to even years in advance. I am sure this was scheduled long before N Korea decided to give peace a go.

They can also be cancelled in a very short notice as it should have been.

Drills still took place but were low key. It’s why Kim is upset, even though he was informed of the drills taking place. KIM is like Trump, he changes his positions. Now he’s not meeting with the South. He’s working his people and us.

Kim ( and I will agree Trump) are not stable people. I will state though that Trump is giving a little here hoping to get a lot. Time will tell right?

I sometimes think that TDS is so strong that these arseholes want the talks to fail.

It is a cancer that sadly has overtaken this country for the last few decades. Does not matter who the President is, the losing side tries to do everything they can to knock them down instead of getting behind a President for the good of the nation as they should. That is what is making the greatest country this world has ever seen becoming a third world shit hole quickly.

America's allies also begged Trump not to violate the nuclear treaty with Iran, and Trump told our allies to fuck off.

So, I am not buying that Trump is suddenly the cagey and tactful diplomat, sensitive to the needs and requests of allies.

I think Trump, as always, is thinking about himself, and he is seeing the coveted Nobel Peace prize he imagined receiving slipping away between his fingers.

It was air drills that were cancelled. B-52 and S.Korea planes.
The B-52's are a relatively new move by Trump in the Korean theater.
Here is the background. so it looks like Trump is just de-escalting the B-52 nuclear component , that he escalated last March due to the NK missile tests

Donald Trump set to send B-52 NUCLEAR BOMBERS to South Korea after North fires missiles at Japan and US warns of ‘overwhelming’ response 9th March 2017,

Even if Trump gets N Korea to agree and abide by a peace treaty that is no reason for the Nobel Peace prize. That should just be his job.

Wouldn't that be the wisest move? Why criticize an idiot because they made the best move? Talk about being an asshole, you take the cake
