Ellis notes that the evidence gathered on Manafort has nothing to do with the special counsel probe, and that the Department of Justice had most of it before they began investigating the 2016 Trump campaign. The Dragnet style raids were for dramatic effect and to feed the media more programming. It's more the message to anybody connected to Trump to live in fear of just what might happen to THEM because of their association to Trump. It was a 13 yr old case, cleared and sitting on a shelf. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the Trump campaign or recent Russian developments over the past year and a half. Da judge saw through this.

They were just looking for anything to destroy peoples' lives. Old offenses from the past, process crimes, etc. Nothing to do with Russian 'collusion'. Mullet hasn't even wanted to talk to the Russian honey-pot from Don Jr's office visit. And, it all started in a meeting with Hillary within hours after her loss.
