BAC is always so predictable, I knew he'd be hostile to her. He is part of the regressive Left who cannot tolerate dissent, she is a black woman and ought to know her place!

This is more of the same republican delusion of finding one or two black people who are dumb enough to support right-wing politics and proclaim they are leading a charge of massive numbers of African-Americans who will now start voting for republicans.

    The Facts
Here’s what the exit polls show for the percentage share of black votes in the presidential elections since 1972.

    Democrat Republican
    2016 89 8
    2012 93 6
    2008 95 4
    2004 88 11
    2000 90 9
    1996 84 12
    1992 83 10
    1988 86 12
    1984 90 9
    1980 85 11
    1976 83 16
    1972 82 18

Exactly WHEN is that going to happen?
AMERICAN HISTORY ITSELF IS A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF AFRICAN PEOPLE. WE, ALONG WITH THE COURGE AND SACRIFICES OF CONSCIOUS WHITE AMERICANS, LIKE VIOLA LIUZZO, EVERETT DIRKSEN, AND MANY OTHERS, HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TOGETHER FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND FOR OUR SURVIVAL.

Chance the Rapper is the latest to be feeling for the heat for the sin of saying blacks don't have to be Democrats. Of course that statement doesn't imply blacks have to be Republican or that blacks can't vote Democratic but apparently not being a Democrat is a crime against the community.

I hate, hate, hate the backlash against artists for political views.

Why are we so afraid of people who disagree w/ us? I can't stand Trump, but Kanye's support of him doesn't affect my views on Kanye at all. It takes a special arrogance to think that everyone should just agree with you on everything. We should celebrate diverse views (within reason - i.e. non-violent views).

It doesn't necessarily have to be just about votes. For example I'll offer Bernie Sanders who was credited with moving Hillary left on certain issues such as trade. He didn't beat her at the ballot box but he had an influence nonetheless.

It's not necessarily that he's an artist it's that he's (a high profile) black person offering support for Trump.

They really didn't. First you said that Candace Owens is dead, which she isn't. That left me scratching my head.

I'd ask you for an explaination, but obviously the very existence of a conservative black woman has you triggered.

The woman is quite obviously a moron who screamed racism when it suited her and got paid for it.
So you're against sanctions for racism? Noted.

Now she's making assholes out of people like you. :0) Good job.
If people like you think I look like an asshole, I must be doing something right.

If you were Jewish, would the artistry of a Nazi sympathizer affect your views about that person. Would you buy their art?

Just as you have the right to care less about ones political views, everyone has the same right to care deeply about those views.

I don't care who you like or who you don't. You aren't that bright.

She screamed racism when it happened to her .. but if it happens to anyone else .. they're just playing victim. Perhaps the obvious lack of logic in that flies above your head.

You latch onto her because she speaks your racist language .. and she knows republicans will PAY to hear her speak it. But I haven't read you speak glowingly nor even respectfully about progressive black women.

You should keep that 'conservative black women' bullshit .. of which there are few .. to yourself.

I don't know what you're talking about brother. Of course it's about votes.

Bernie did not influence the black vote as much as you may think he did.

Bill Clinton negatively influenced the black vote far more than Sanders.

    Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.

I didn't lay out my thoughts there very coherently. I was attempting to speak more about a political mindset. People may not switch to voting Republican today but might be more willing to look at conservative policies differently. And that can have affects at the local, state and national level.

I do not disagree with you that Republicans aren't going to get black votes. But a policy mindset could change.

Is Wednesday, April 25, 2018 the day Kanye West killed his brand?

The rap star turned Yeezy fashion mogul has been on a Twitter tear, pledging his support on the social media platform for President Donald Trump, something that has gotten many brands in hot water in a time when consumers vote with their dollars.

"You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him," wrote West, who made a pilgrimage to Trump Tower in December 2016 that raised eyebrows. On Wednesday, he also posted a photo of a signed Make America Great Again hat, and Trump tweeted back at him in approval.

"Kanye has lit the torch of war with the African-American community and liberal community and it's going to be a hail of fire," says Eric Schiffer, chairman of crisis management firm Reputation Management Consultants.

Kanye is still very influential. We'll see.

And I'm sure he's causing more Blacks to support Mr. Trump.
