Public lands have a troubling history.
Only 20 percent of visitors to National Parks are people of color. As the broader conservation movement continues to struggle with diversity and inclusion, many worry that the Trump administration will only make things worse. Watch our video to learn about the troubling history of public lands and to meet the conservationists of color who are trying to change the parks’ future.

Are they not accounting for Japanese people. You get enough of those, and often in large groups. With the increases in cost for the parks I'd have trouble paying to visit them, if I didn't have my disabled pass. It's one reason I can afford my vacation this summer. Already dropped $2,500 on hotel booking, and looking for 3-4 thousand more in food, gas, and purchases.

Blacks are not into outdoor stuff. I do a lot of mountain hiking and it is extremely rare to see a black. Nothing wrong with that. They have different tastes.
Reckless drivers are a bigger threat to you than all other criminals put together!
THE BIG LIE - Blacks and whites are different physically but identical mentally!
There is no way 81 million americans voted for a man they know is a child molester w dementia. Impeach Joe the Pedophile Vegetable (JPV)
I’m an avid mountain biker so I spend hours and hours in the woods on public lands.
Most often I don’t see any black people because I don’t see anyone at all.
I’m ok with that lol.

We make it a point to go to national parks. We love Yosemite, Sequoia, Yellowstone...repeat visitors to those. We see lots of Asian folks at many of these parks. But people of color not so much. We do see many of these folks at places like Disney or professional sporting events. I think it has much to do with taste and somewhat to do with what is considered important/worthwhile. I don’t think Trump has a lot to do with where most people visit or tour.

I am often in the mountains and on hunting trips by myself. As a first responder for our area (having had to retrieve bodies of men killed in tree stand accidents and assist in rescues) I’m always taking pictures of the safety precautions (using safety harnesses properly and such) I take and post them to social media. Of course nothing is fool proof but I enjoy my alone time afield so much. I try to maintain a line of communication with my wife and do most of the time.

Depends where I’m at.
This past week I rode with a buddy and we did a local trail where we were never more than probably a twenty minute ride back to a subdivision. But I usually go by myself out to our local state park and it’s out there a bit lol—it’s why I go there. My bike helps keep me sane.
I tell people where I’m going to be and I always check in as soon as I get back into cell range. I accept the risks, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. I’m actually a pretty cautious cyclist.
Arguably a chickenshit lol.
