They are not. Everyone of those nations has a market economy but do include socialist programs and benefits to a higher degree than the US does. They also have very high standards of living and quality of life that contradicts the criticisms of free market fundamentalist or anarcho-Libertarianist.

The second largest economy on the planet is essentially a socialistic economy. Yeah, it has introduced elements of capitalism...which makes sense. But at its base, is a socialistic economy with some tweaks coming from capitalism.
MORE THAN LIKELY IT WILL SURPASS US DURING THE LIFETIME OF PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THIS DISCUSSION.
We can either learn the lesson being taught and introduce some elements of socialism into our system...or ignore it. Which is to say we can stay competitive and remain in the top spot or become second in line...or move much further down the chain.
People like Bernie are insisting we compete for the top spot...or stay as high as possible.
American conservatism, with their moronic obstinacy, is fighting to move us as low down on the ladder as possible.

Oh Wacko do you have any understanding of the history of Government?
For the vast majority of human history to this very day Governments have been kleptocracies that take from the most productive members of society and redistribute it upwards to the elite political classes, which in our nation is largely the Capitalist class. They then use social and religious institutions to rationalize their kleptocracy and enforce at the point of a gun.
So you argue who will pay for redistribution to the non-political elite? The same people who who’s productivity is redistributed to the political elite at the point of a gun.
So to me your double standard on redistribution isn’t rational.
The fact is that the stem of the economic distribution champagne glass curve is getting narrower and narrower in this nation and this is and will cause political instability and if it continues it is the elite political class who stands to lose the most as eventually it will be the productive classes who will pick up the pitch forks and go after the investment/Capitalist class who cannot protect their privileges without government redistributing the productive classes productivity upwards to their class.

Apparently math isn't yours. 304 > 227 and it's the ONLY type of vote that mattered in determining the winner. If you don't like how the current system works, I suggest getting off your ass and doing something to change it. The same founding fathers that created the system that has elected the previous winners also put in place a method to change the system we currently use.
So you wont answer.
I'm not 60, but what I do know is its an absolute lie made up by racist white men who don't want to pay living wages that raising the minimum wage hurts Blacks.
Here's the deal, we have never raised the minimum wage so you nor your fucking racist klan even knows what would happen if we do.
All you what if's and speculation mean nothing. If you can't see the con you believe in then that says a lot about you.
You don't want to see it.
Black unemployment was lower than white unemployment until we added a 33% minimum wage increase in the mid 50's. Then their unemployment numbers doubled with whites being largely unaffected. That trend continued for the next 25 years. You should also look up the history behind Roosevelt's high minimum wages on his federal projects. They weren't put in place to help black folks. Quite the opposite. But don't take our word for it. As has been mentioned earlier, read some stuff by Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell. They aren't exactly Klan material.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
