I didn't think Trump had a chance in hell in 2016 so I'm out of the political prediction business. I do believe Nikki Haley has a compelling story and will make noise on the national stage one day but referring back to previous statement I'm not putting any money on it.

    Hello Thing1,

She's right, though - he's in way over his head. World affairs are not as simple as real estate.
He has always been miserable. He doesn't know how to have fun or enjoy life. As a kid, being born into wealth, could he enjoy what he had? No, he was a bully. He could only derive pleasure from hurting others. That has never changed. He was raised by a workaholic jerk who spent very little time being a father to his own children. Donald Trump had no good father figure, which explains why he has no idea how to be a good father to his own children. He is more dedicated to wealth building by any means possible than he is to family nurturing.

Even after Mr. Trump became super-rich the first time, as a 30 year old multi-millionaire he went out and bought a big super-yacht - not because that was what he wanted for fun, but because that is what he thought he was supposed to do as a super-rich person, perhaps wondering if that might fill the void in his life, or get him accepted into the old money social circles which still exclude him. He took the yacht out a few times but it did nothing for him, so he sold it and never got another one. Imagine that. His first boat was a super-yacht, then he never got another one. Most boaters start out with something small, learn what they are doing, then work their way up to a larger boat. He had no business having a boat. He is not a boater, has no idea how to have fun with one.

He is a miserable man who has no idea how to enjoy life. He had all the money anybody could ever want, and a ten year old son, but he never took Baron to the beach or fishing or camping or anything else little boys might like to do with their dad. He let those precious pre-teen years slide right by as he instead glommed onto the free publicity of running for president and then messed up and actually became president. No, he never believed he would win, did not run for that reason. All he wanted was to have his name splashed all over the media because his name is his brand. He sells his name to make money.

He does like to play golf but I wonder how much enjoyment he gets out of it. Golfers are usually either very happy or super-pissed off. It's a wonderful game if you can enjoy it. A golf course is beautiful. You can leave your cares and worries behind, enjoy the scenery and concentrate on trying to do well. There are people who can enjoy that game for what it is - a challenge which can never be mastered. It's fun to try to hit the perfect shot every time, but usually the result is something less than perfection. People with a good temperament know that repetition of flawless perfection is not achievable in the real world, but those with big egos don't understand that. If you see a big ego type of golfer, they can be the type to become enraged by the game - and it does test you. It can be very humiliating to have a good round going and then make one bad shot which destroys hours of effort. That's why you see pictures of golfers throwing putters or breaking clubs in a fit of rage. Not every golfer is like that. But the ones who take it too seriously can get swept up with boasting and fooling themselves that they are better than they really are.

"“Trump will sometimes respond to a shot he duffed by simply playing a second ball and carrying on as if the first shot never happened,” SI reports. “In the parlance of the game, Trump takes floating mulligans, usually more than one during a round. Because of them it is impossible to say what he has actually shot on any given day, according to 18 people who have teed it up with Trump over the last decade.”"

    Washington Post

"Trump’s official handicap, the magazine says, is an astonishingly good 2.8, which means he’ll average about three strokes over par on 18 holes. But, the magazine continues, “he has posted only three scores since ’14. [Pro golfer Ernie] Els, a South Florida resident who has known Trump for many years, estimates he is ‘an eight or a nine.’ ” Trump couldn’t be content winning the presidency; he had to make up fantasies about millions of illegal votes denying him a popular-vote victory. Likewise, he is a good golfer. But he needs to invent something better. "

"So why does he desecrate the game he loves? He drives his cart on greens and tee boxes. He talks through other players’ shots. He “doesn’t play a round of golf so much as narrate it, his commentary peppered with hyperbole,” SI reports. He says he’s attracted to the game by “walking down all those beautiful fairways,” but he only rides in a cart."

"Maybe Trump has a chip on his shoulder because the old-boy golf clubs wouldn’t admit the gauche showman. So he built his own. Now the populist Trump boasts that he’s “the best golfer of all the rich people.”

Or maybe he can’t help himself. Not satisfied being a very good golfer, he shaves scores, boasts of championships un-won and tears up greens with carts — because he can.

The famed 20th-century golf pro and instructor Percy Boomer said that the game reveals much about the man. “If you wish to hide your character, do not play golf,” he said. "
Anybody who understand golf etiquette would not enjoy playing with him. Golf etiquette says you do not talk or make any distraction while another player is shooting, and you do not drive the carts onto the tees or greens. What a jerk. Sounds like the Rodney Dangerfield character from Caddy Shack.

I bet Trump with his thin skin ass regrets even running for president now?!!

Business woman and former model Ivana Trump, perhaps best-known for being Donald Trump’s first wife, says her former husband shouldn’t run for re-election in 2020.

“I’ll tell you something, I don’t think it’s necessary,” she tells The New York Post’s “Page Six.”

“He has a good life and he has everything. Donald is going to be 74, 73 for the next [election] and maybe he should just go and play golf and enjoy his fortune,” she advised. “I think he probably [misses] a little bit of freedom.”

President Trump on Sunday was at Mar-a-Lago, his 149th day at a Trump property while being president. Over the past week he has golfed – or at least been at his Florida golf course – at least five times.

Ivana Trump, who remains close to her former husband and is the mother of Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka Trump, also suggested that the president might be in over his head.

“I don’t think he probably knew how much is involved of being the president. It’s so [much] information — you have to know the whole world,” she acknowledged.

She had some advice for the Senior Advisor to the President, her daughter, Ivanka: Move back to New York and give up your job in the White House. “Politics is a very dirty business,” she told The Post. “In [fashion], she would be her own boss.”

And the first Mrs. Donald Trump had a few words for Donald Trump Jr.’s soon-to-be ex-wife. The president’s eldest son and Vanessa Trump are divorcing. Rumors are Donald Jr. had an affair.

“I think Vanessa knew it all along and maybe she just couldn’t get over the hurt to forgive him.

But I honestly don’t know that many men who can keep their zippers up.”

But she admitted that when she learned Donald Trump cheated on her with Marla Maples, who became his second wife, she was very hurt.

“I divorced Donald immediately [after I discovered the Maples affair] because I told myself, ‘Am I going to live with the person [who] is going to say, ‘I’m going to go and play golf’ [leaving me to] think, ‘Is he really going to go and play golf?’ I cannot do it.”

On the Stormy Daniels scandal, Ivana Trump said, “I feel bad for [Melania] because I know how bad I did feel. It hurts a lot.”

She was a lovely woman in the late 1980s.. I saw her every night at dinner at Badrut's Palace. She knows Trump has lots of personality problems and now he's senile. She's giving him good advice to protect him and his children.

Besides, the (R)s are in no way ready for vote for a female president, particularly one who is not European-looking.

That's the stereotype the left wants to portray about the right. South Carolina had an Indian woman as a Governor and a black man as a Senator. For all those on the left claiming it was sexism why people didn't vote for Hillary will they say the same about Nikki if she doesn't win?

You must be referring to the bank crisis caused by Barney Frank, your guy. The country crawled out of that mess in spite of The Obama, not because of him.

Your prediction was based all things being normal. They weren't. Don't stick your crystal ball in the garage just yet.

There may be something greater for Haley somewhere in the future, but it won't be 2020. Too close to war, too close to Trump.

True, but after Trump they will be desperate to attract anyone.

They recognize they can no longer survive as a national party being solely dependent on white guys and their subservient wives.

Sometimes I think that they (including some here) are so immersed in the Koolaid vat that they can't see themselves the way we do.

Our question is: Shall we bring a boat for them when the blue tsunami comes in November?
