Just last month, Houston civil rights groups have sued the financial services company Capital One, alleging that it has discriminated against blacks and Latinos by closing more than half its banking offices in minority neighborhoods while adding them in areas that are predominantly white.

Saw that coming, the banks are refusing to do business with another business, purely economic, can't make a business do business with a failing customer, the bakers would be denying an individual his rights as a citizen, big difference

Some banks blacklist industry wide for whatever reason. Porn, pawn shops, gun shops, etc. Not really sure why. I have heard some banks don't like to have dentists as customers. Don't ask me why. Too many bounced checks maybe.

I think some have done it in Colorado. That is a little different IMO because banks are federally regulated and that is still against federal law. Guns, porn, pawn shops are not generally illegal federally

Looks like we got a conundrum for the gun loving conservatives, do they support employing the Gov't to pressure banks into doing business with the gun industry, or, do they support capitalism's tenent of free enterprise without Gov't interference?

Does show one phenomena not possible even five years ago, it isn't the political sphere that are forcing recognition of a gun problem in America but rather economic and social currents are highlighting the realities. The NRA has to really really hate those high school kids from Florida
