how? if it's decriminalized, it's no longer prohibited to possess or manufacture, no?
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Obviously if you're selling weed by the pound or kilo, you would be subject to criminal liability. But decriminalization of possession and sale of small amounts like an ounce or less means exactly what it says... it's no longer a criminal offense and thus, you cannot be arrested for it. Maybe a $100 fine.

As far as asset forfeiture and seizure, even now they have to make the case that you were engaged in criminal enterprise of a scope that allowed you to purchase the property with the proceeds from it.

They aren't going to seize your house because you sold your buddy from work a couple of grams of buds or had one or two plants growing in your back yard.

Not necessarily. It's not punishable but that doesn't mean it can't be used as a pretext for other actions.

You place a lot of faith in police not abusing their power.

Do you actually believe that the cartels are just going to throw up their collective hands and say, "That's it! Were done! Now we'll just go and get jobs and survive."?

They'll transition into other products, other markets, and probably try to go legitimate to some extent. What alternative do suggest will happen?

how? are you saying that law enforcement could use your possession of something that isn't prohibited as a pretext for an arrest of something else?
