I think Trump should try it.

Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman of New York is moving to change New York state law so that he and other local prosecutors would have the power to bring criminal charges against aides to President Trump who have been pardoned, according to a letter Mr. Schneiderman sent to the governor and state lawmakers on Wednesday.

The move, if approved by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and the Legislature, would serve notice that the legal troubles of the president and his aides may continue without the efforts of Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Under the plan, Mr. Schneiderman, a Democrat, seeks to exempt New York’s double jeopardy law from cases involving presidential pardons, according to the letter, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times. The current law and the concept of double jeopardy in general mean that a person cannot be tried for the same crime twice.

Right now, New York state law prevents people from being prosecuted more than once for crimes related to the same act, even if the original prosecution was in federal court. There are already a number of exceptions to the law, and the letter says that Mr. Schneiderman is proposing to add a new one that could be used if federal pardons are issued.

    Hello Micawber,

    Good Topic.

Republicans should know about obstructing justice.

Sorry I disagree with you. The Democrats have really shown their true colors for the last 9 years. I don't ever remember riots and calls to change electoral votes before. No the Democrats are the problem.

Republicans aren't going to do anything, they know regardless of his blunders and disgusting behavior Trump still commends 35% to 40% of the vote, which is the Republican base they need to get reelected. This type action/talk is just covering bases incase it all catches up to the Don

Trump has more to worry about with the Manhatten prosecutors office than he does Mueller

    Tick tock tick tock...
We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.
    Ergo, religion.

    rac·ist
    rāsəst/noun
a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
Ask yourself honestly if this describes what you believe to be true.
If the answer is yes, you are a racist.

Trump isn't getting support for reelection from Republican politicians. Very odd for an incumbent Potus.
Asked directly they dodge the question instead of pledging undying loyalty. "It's too early" instead of
"Of course I will support this great President!" It's telling.

What are their true colors? My party wants a strong and unified USA. Much of your party literally wants to rip it apart, agency by agency, issue by issue.
The list of sane people in your party who have left includes George Will. Republican is unrecognizable. Your party has created a lexicon the sole purpose
of which are bywords for hate and division, hate code. Most " true conservatives" if honest would admit they would leave your party if it stayed like this.
They are holding their collective noses hoping this will end. Include in that column every Republican candidate and powerful Republican family such as Cruz
and Bush. This is a political nightmare.
