Sen. McCain returning to Arizona, will miss tax bill vote

McCain is unlikely to return to Washington this year, one of the sources said. But his ability to get on a plane to Arizona was a "good sign," a source said.
McCain left Walter Reed Medical Center "exhausted, but ok," a Republican close to him said.
McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, confirmed that the senator would be in Arizona for Christmas.

has he even shown up in DC this year?. Go home and die in peace, but let the work of the Senate be done by a physically capable Senator
Yet when he's voted recently, it's been the Democrat way. Had it been otherwise, Kuntzu could be calling for him to step down.

By 'do their duty', he means 'protect trump'.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

It means show up for the job you were elected to do.

Annatta isn't a conservative though. Heck he was an Obama voter. If we're going to be labeled shouldn't it at least be for actions of one of our own?

Mccain is a selfish bastard who only tweets #NeverTrump screed.
He should have resigned for health aspects..I doubt he comes back for any Senatorial duties.

Let someone else be appointed who can do their duty

i know. I am talking about Mccain, but also in general.
Thad Cochran resigned once he knew he had chronic health issues
"I regret my health has become an ongoing challenge,” Cochran said" in
...so I'm looking for a way to medically discharge when actors like Mccain cling on and are never coming back

The problem is the Senate. a bunch of self-serving plutocrats with little interest in governing and chocking to death on their arcane procedures.
McCain should have the good graces to resign-he's incapable of doing his job, but the rest of the Senators don't really care either to force him out

He underwent surgery this past weekend toolbag, so if you want to know where he is, I am guessing still at the Mayo Clinic. My guess is he may be dead by Memorial Day--4th of July at the latest.

More like a dead man laying there on a Propofol drip. Intestinal surgery is a tough thing to recover from even if you are in good health. An old man with a compromised immune system has very long odds against them. I am assuming he is already septic or else they would have even tried the surgery.

There ought to be some way to have him medically discharged.

The loyalty isn't to the Senate (as I hear McConnel say all the time) -it should be to the people you represent.
and if you clearly are unfit to hold Office....
Well, the Republican Congress should launch impeachment proceedings against him.

Yes. And what exactly is the Senate doing that's of any significance? trump appointments should all be denied anyway.

You are kind of harsh on a man who has devoted his entire life to this country.
