Nobody slammed Scalise for being away from his job recovering from gunshot wounds.

I think John McCain truly believes he will be back in Washington.

he might very well. but he's not able to travel,and that's not going to improve in terms of working his duties.
There ought to be some way to have him medically discharged.

The loyalty isn't to the Senate (as I hear McConnel say all the time) -it should be to the people you represent.

Scalise also literally received his injuries in the course of his Congressional career. McCain just got old and developed cancer. I like that McCain is disliked by Douchebag Donald and his sycophants, but, that's not enough for me to justify his hanging around.

He and Feingold tried to fix the campaign finance problem with the McCain/Feingold bill. You can be happy, he is dying very soon and you can party. Rightys are such hateful nasty people. I hope you are all proud of yourselves in this thread. My brother died of brain cancer. Every day some part of your brain ceases to function. At the end, he could not see . Eyes were fine but the brain could not process the information. You Fox types can enjoy that imagery. Laugh at what he is going through. What dicks.

I'm sorry about your brother.

A friend's husband passed from brain cancer a few years ago; he was only in his mid-40s, a vibrant funny musical guy. Little by little who he was slipped away till he was partially paralyzed, forced to submit to bed baths and adult diapers, laying in bed watching daytime TV, unable to speak. I'd stay with him so she could get out of the house for a while. It is sad that some ppl here have no compassion, even when the dying person is one of their own.
