I thought the Barbara Bush thread showed them in all their full scale nastiness but looks like it's being carried over here, too.

he might very well. but he's not able to travel, and that's not going to improve in terms of working his duties.
There ought to be some way to have him medically discharged.

The loyalty isn't to the Senate (as I hear McConnel say all the time) -it should be to the people you represent.

not even the same thing. He survived surgery, and had a clear medical path to recovery.

Sen. McCain returning to Arizona, will miss tax bill vote

McCain is unlikely to return to Washington this year, one of the sources said. But his ability to get on a plane to Arizona was a "good sign," a source said.
McCain left Walter Reed Medical Center "exhausted, but ok," a Republican close to him said.
McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, confirmed that the senator would be in Arizona for Christmas.

has he even shown up in DC this year?. Go home and die in peace, but let the work of the Senate be done by a physically capable Senator

Right now, it’s pretty much a full time job pointing out the lies, distortions and general ignorance of the RW tards on this forum.

agreed..but he had a path. He was owed a chance to improve and be able to return.

I recall quite a lot of concern that he might not even survive.

Sen. Kirk (R) Illinois had a stroke and a very long recovery as well. Were the wolves baying for his resignation at the time?

There are some nasty people here. McCain has been a senator for a long time. He has actually crossed party lines like you guys used to pretend you liked. He and Feingold tried to fix the campaign finance problem with the McCain/Feingold bill. You can be happy, he is dying very soon and you can party. Rightys are such hateful nasty people. I hope you are all proud of yourselves in this thread. My brother died of brain cancer. Every day some part of your brain ceases to function. At the end, he could not see . Eyes were fine but the brain could not process the information. You Fox types can enjoy that imagery. Laugh at what he is going through. What dicks.

    I'm sorry about your brother.

A friend's husband passed from brain cancer a few years ago; he was only in his mid-40s, a vibrant funny musical guy. Little by little who he was slipped away till he was partially paralyzed, forced to submit to bed baths and adult diapers, laying in bed watching daytime TV, unable to speak. I'd stay with him so she could get out of the house for a while. It is sad that some ppl here have no compassion, even when the dying person is one of their own.
