I never sit by the window these days, although ask for a bulkhead or aisle seat, upgrade to business if none available.

Horrible for the victim. I am not sure I would call the pilot a hero really. Those folks that pulled the victim back into the plane and began CPR on her or who were trying to block the broken window were heroic. The pilot just landed the plane. It was her job and she had no choice. Those who risked themselves trying to save her had a choice.

When I fly , I always wear my seat belt except when using the restroom. This lady was wearing hers too, but it must have been loosely fitted to be sucked halfway out the window? I wear mind very tight after experiencing a very bad turbulence issue in the past!
