Are you actually thinking this means something in the gun debate? Crossbows are quite legit weaponry, predating the muskets of the second amendment years by a long shot. I don't see what this brings to the debate. Or is it you're just cheering this happened? Bloodshed no matter the reason is never worth cheering.

Granted, I don't live there, but reading the above quotes, why would they even consider charging either person?
Why did they confiscate her crossbow and not charge her? Because the perpetrator has yet to be found?

Not in Britain. She was at the mercy of the legal system there, else she could have been prosecuted for utilizing that crossbow.
