sociopaths actually have an edge to becoming wealthy? Really?
Got any proof or is this just one of your wild theories because I'm not going to believe it's true just because you typed it on an internet forum. Do you know any billionaires that are sociopaths. Care to name just one?
Scepticism will take you further than gullibility.

It is well known that business leaders, and indeed leaders in general, can share many of the traits of psychopaths.

Hello cawacko,
Whose post are you responding to?
Did I *say* a corporation was taking over the world?
No. I asked what mechanism prevents corporations (plural) from taking over the world?
Their power grows over time. They have no natural life and death cycle like humans. We have started corporations which could still be in existence thousands of years from now, accruing more and more power the whole time. I ask again. What is to prevent corporations from acquiring more power than governments, thus gaining enough power to tell countries what to do? (That has already begun to some extent.)
Has anyone considered the long-term implications of corporate power growth?

So essentially your premise for taking companies away from shareholders is a corporation may take over the government one day?
If corporations were taken away from the owners, as you propose upon the founders death, then capital markets would cease to exist. Capitalism would cease to exist.
I still don't get your animosity towards large corporations. Has there ever been a case where a large corporation tried to take over the world? I don't think so. Also, the large majority of corporations are publicly owned and sell stock to shareholders. If a corporation did something egregious, the shareholders would take action and either sell their stock or call for action. I have more faith and confidence in corporations to do the right thing than I do in governments. Governments can control and influence elections. Corporations can do nothing to prevent stockholders from bailing on their stock. And stockholders don't have to wait until 'Election Day' to make their voices heard. There's an election every day the Stock Market is open and corporations can get feedback instantly from their actions, good or bad.
That's another thing that makes Capitalism great.
Please show evidence that "this has already begun to happen to some extent". because I don't see it.
