We would be divided into provinces and each provincial government would have authority in most matters as a parliament and the federal government would exist only for defense and to arbitrate disputes between the various parliaments. The government sucks no matter what you do normally. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I'd just make sure Republicans kept their hand off the social programs or ancestors paid into, and kept the proper separations of church, and state. Abortion, and gay marriage shouldn't even be political matters. I'd get rid of the electoral system, and make sure every person was treated equally under laws in pay.
