Obama’s Tarnished Legacy in the Middle East

Nor is Obama popular with the region’s ordinary citizens. A Pew Research Center poll in June 2015 shows that Obama’s image in the Middle East is mostly negative, with more than eight in ten Palestinians and Jordanians saying that they have no confidence in Obama to do the right thing in world affairs. In Lebanon 64 percent have no confidence in Obama’s leadership, with only 50 percent of Israelis saying they have confidence in the American president. In Turkey Obama’s fortune is better, but not by much where 46 percent of Turks have a negative assessment of his leadership. There is much anecdotal evidence showing that Arab youth in general have soured on Obama, accusing him of reneging on his early pledges to oppose Arab despotism and to stand by those who sought peaceful change in Egypt and Bahrain, and of abandoning Libya after the fall of the Gadhafi regime. However, what angers many Arabs is Obama’s disastrous handling of the Syrian conflict; they blame his indecisiveness on challenging the Bashar Al-Assad regime’s predations, and halfhearted measures toward helping the Syrian opposition, for the worst human tragedy in the twenty-first century.

Noticed something very interesting re Sanctions, Russia hacking and Rob Joyce

4/16: It's reported - Trump puts the brakes on new Russian sanctions, reversing Haley’s announcement:

4/16: At 1:25pm it's reported - Russia is sponsoring cyberattacks in U.S. homes and businesses, U.S. and U.K. officials warn in which Rob Joyce makes a statement:

"“We are pushing back and we’re pushing back hard,” said Rob Joyce, White House special assistant to the president and cybersecurity director."
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...arn/520981002/

4/16: At 4:19pm it's reported - Top cyber official to leave White House (ROB ROYCE)

"Joyce’s departure will leave a void in one of the top cybersecurity roles in the administration. Joyce was among top U.S. and British officials who earlier Monday blamed Russian-backed hackers for conducting cyberattacks on internet infrastructure across the globe in an apparent spy campaign targeting government, critical infrastructure and private businesses.

Anyone would have to be blind, deaf and Stupid if they think that Trump is not Putin's puppet and is some unwitting part in all this.

Why would they? It results in the highest incidence of gun-related deaths in western society.

I don't know how the poll was worded, however.. I know the Arabs understand the difficulty the US faces. The objective was to contain Iran and prevent the spread of nuclear weapons.

Trump's numbers are lower than that right here in America and some of you think he's doing great so poll numbers mean only what you want them to mean.

So that is justification for everything else done? (not a rhetorical question)

That's some interesting projection. Please point to where I have made even one comment on Trump's poll numbers or what they mean. Do you have a poll or article that shows something different in the Middle East vis a vis Obama?

We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.
    Ergo, religion.
