Default "Trump escalates attack on Amazon, slams it on taxes, shipping"

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-a...-idUSKBN1H51PY

When was the last time a sitting President personally singled out and attacked a successful American business by name? What happened to the praise of capitalism?

Amazing part is is biggest complaint is they don't pay tax, the guy who lies about and refuses to allow anyone to peak at his tax returns for obvious reasons is hitting on a successful American company for not paying taxes? Didn't he tell us one time he "was smart" for skirting taxes?

States are currently competing heavily to have Amazon come to their State and the President is tearing down the same entity, couldn't it be that the owner of Amazon is also the owner of the Washington Post now could it?

He is beyond belief. Quite a few very large U.S. corporations pay little to no taxes -- why isn't he going after *them*? And what about that whole "job creators" thing that he promoted tax cuts for? Fortunately for both Amazon and everyone else, he can bloviate on this all he wants but he has no power to do anything specifically to Amazon w/o including all the other business entities that likewise do not pay taxes.

It's not about Amazon, that's a new thread, but the Chief Exexutive of the United States singling out and personally attacking an American company, especially when he is attacking them for the very practices he not only himself does but actually praised as "smart" business

something cuold be smart for a business man to do but is not helpful for the country as a whole. Businesses try and get advantages over other businesses all the time.

Ask Rockefeller how that worked out for him. If the govt wants to come after you for anti competitive practices their funds are almost limitless

That's irrelevant to the amount of resources each party has

I'm not advocating anything. I love Amazon and use the site all the time. Nor should Trump be attacking them. I simply reponded to your comment about money. No individual (or company) can out resource the federal gov't
