Default President Trump's Legal Team In Disarray

It really is a challenge to keep up with the roster of people working for the President. (Good thing he doesn't have a guillotine)

"Trump’s legal team remains in disarray as new lawyer will no longer represent him in Russia probe: By Josh Dawsey, Carol D. Leonnig and Rosalind S. Helderman March 25 at 7:11 PM:

President Trump’s legal team reversed course Sunday, announcing that a lawyer slated to join the attorneys handling the response to special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s Russia investigation will not come on board after all, the latest sign of disarray for Trump’s legal strategy.

The development came three days after John Dowd, who had been Trump’s top attorney handling the Russia inquiry, resigned amid strategy disputes with the president.

Trump is now left, at least temporarily, without a traditional criminal defense attorney as Mueller’s team appears to be entering a critical phase in its investigation into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 election and whether the president’s campaign cooperated with Russia in this effort.

Joseph diGenova, the lawyer Trump wanted to replace Dowd, has often stridently defended the president on Fox News Channel and cast the Mueller probe as a conspiracy against him. Trump enjoyed the TV appearances and wanted diGenova on his team even though he did not know him, officials say.

But in a statement on Sunday, a spokesman for Trump’s legal team said both diGenova and his wife, Victoria Toensing, who is also a lawyer, would not be working on the Russia probe because clients they are representing in connection with the investigation posed conflicts of interest."

Conflict of interest. Haven't we heard a lot about that since President Trump was elected?

Trump has the money to hire the right lawyers. Not that he needs to since the investigation so far is a nothing burger.

It appears the lawyers out there are not willing to work for that asshole for any amount of money.

I'm surprised he hasn't claimed authorship of the phrase. lol

As eager as some attorneys are to represent high-profile clients, to get their name out there, you'd think they'd be falling over themselves to sign on with Twittler. He probably only wants the "best people," the big names -- but they don't want to be tarnished with failure when Trumpelthinskin faceplants.

At least he has SOME representation. So he won't need a court appointed lawyer!

Even OJ Simpson and Bill Cosby were able to find excellent defense lawyers

Even though most people felt it was pretty obvious he was guilty.

Isn't it kind of telling that nobody wants to represent Trump?

Not one good lawyer out there will take a chance at becoming famous (or infamous) and a well known face on TV.

It's the same reason why he has had to go to Russian banks for business funding -- his repayment record on loans ain't so great either.

Any attorney worth his or her salt...will find a tactful way of distancing self from having to take Donald Trump on as a client.

Any attorney willing to have Trump as a client...is almost certainly not going to be top tier.

Perhaps he ought to get Dershowitz.

Wouldn't I love to see that!

Or, if they use the "whisper in the ear" technique, perhaps someone can get him to reach out to engage Clarence Darrow!

Two reasons trump cannot get a lawyer
    1. He lies to everyone
    2. He doesnt pay his bills

Its always been true that any lawyer would be thrilled to work for a President, it would be the highlight of their career, a crowning achievement. That is until this lying POS entered the White House. Now no one wants any part of him.
