Are you mistaking me for your secretary.
Look for it.
HINT: The assertion I had to "back up" is: At one time the American South was predominantly Democratic...and at present it is predominantly Republican.
That is as difficult as backing up an assertion that most male congressmen wear ties to work.
Jesus H. Christ. What the hell is the intelligence level of American conservatives in this forum?
Fifth grade level?
Maybe third grade would be closer.
When people like you get worked up for a substantiation like the one mentioned, it is a sure sign you've recognized just how pathetic y your position is on the issue.

Be sure to read that first paragraph over five or six times...so it penetrates.
I am glad you asked that. Here is a link from the Atlantic ( one of the most liberal media sources in existence) that explains it quite nicely. The kind of liberals that one can still respect have seen this problem for and a while address it. Instead of just talking nonsense.

The Republican party should have the right to refuse to allow him to appear in the ballot under their name, as a private organization. Regardless of the fact that he won the primary.

In the south after the 60's the democratic party moved to the left and the Republican party moved to the right. That's a fact. Previously the FDR wing of the Democratic party tolerated the dixiecrat wing as an act of political realism, after 1964 the dixiecrats were mostly purged though.

I know a guy at work who's mother was a liberal Democrat, they moved to Florida moon the 60's and she was frustrated that she had no one to vote for. The republicans were more liberal than the democrats in the south in the 60 but they were hardly progressives.
