Geez- look at the crap that Billary is still slinging a year later.
"losers," he didn't have anybody serious running against him, he jailed one, poisoned another, and banned the only challenging candidate from getting on the ballot

Did Hillary congratulate Putin? Isn't this what the thread was about. But rightys are deflecting away. What a stupid list. George Washington didn't congratulate Putin either.

Can criminals stand for president in the US ?

As far as I'm aware the main ' opposition ' was a convicted crook.

Besides- look how Sanders got ' knifed '. You call that fair and regular ?

Trump has been tough on Russia. sanctions/selling Javelin missiles to Ukraine. Killing Russian mercenaries in Syria

But Putin is extant, and talking about the arms race ( as Trump said earlier) is needed
no matter how Putin was elected

My point is that Billary dispensed with her opposition by foul means. That's what these professional political assholes do.

As far as I'm concerned anybody that expects fair play from politicians is stupid enough to vote for one.

Putin won. Trump won. They're good at the crooked game.

Yes, as long as they are a natural born citizen 35 years of age. Criminal convictions are not a factor.

The Russians were also supporting Sanders.

MOSCOW, February 24 (RAPSI) - President Vladimir Putin has singed a law that allows individuals convicted for serious and aggravated crimes to run for governor or the presidential office, according to the statement on the Kremlin's website.

The law somewhat curbs the passive election right, as the convicts would be able to run for governor or president no sooner than 10 and 15 years from the time the conviction was closed. The candidate will have to inform the voters about his conviction, expired or otherwise, on the ballot and information materials.

Serious offenses, according to Russian law, are those carrying prison terms of five to ten years; very serious crimes are punishable by more than ten years in jail.

In mid-October, Russia’s top court ruled that a 2012 law banning people convicted of grave crimes from running for office for life was unconstitutional, saying that a ban should depend on the severity of the crime.
