McConnell: Mueller isn't 'going anywhere'

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday defended Robert Mueller after President Trump blasted the special counsel's investigation over the weekend as biased.

Means little, how many times have we've seen GOP politicians critize Trump but when it comes down to a vote they all fall perfectly inline

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday defended Robert Mueller after President Trump blasted the special counsel's investigation over the weekend as biased.

McConnell argued that speculation of Mueller’s imminent ouster is overheated and that Trump’s lawyers agree he should be allowed to wrap up his investigation. “I don’t think Bob Mueller is going anywhere,” McConnell told reporters. “The president’s lawyers obviously agree that he ought to be allowed to finish the job.

McConnell called Mueller a “thoroughly credible individual” and “an appropriate appointment” to serve as special counsel.

“We all anticipate him finishing the job and telling the American people what they need to know about this episode,” he said.

I’d love watching the drama if Rump fired mueller, if Rump truly believes the things he cry’s about Mueller... it’s really his duty to fire the guy.

In the end, nothing consequential will come of it, a week of media coverage and everything gradually will move on. The GOP politicians will all claim it is a mistake, even show outrage, but as with everything else, do little to correct the situation

They've been at it since the day Mueller was appointed, orchestrating a strategy to completely discredit Mueller beginning with questioning the legality of his appointment, Nunes's twilight Ubers to the White House weren't to discuss the weather. I'd wager after the November election the ax falls, by 2020 they'll have the Russian investigation portrayed as the Salem witch trials

That's how ANY investigation works, anatta. When people investigate things, they sometimes find other things - they don't ignore those things because they're not part of the 'original mandate.'
