The republican sold out to the public employee unions and did it dishonestly completely fucking up our utility rates. Also the dim is probably a tree hugger and a developer is trying to rezone property next to our house and a pristine parkland area so he can build several high rise bldgs. that would devalue our property and be an invasion to our privacy. The tenants could peer directly into our back garden.
But the present mayor is trying to turn Anchorage into a sanctuary city and a homeless paradise like San Francisco and L.A There was no good choice so I had to vote for selfish reasons.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) on Monday signed a package of measures aimed at increasing voter participation that would create potentially hundreds of thousands of new voters — even in a state that already has one of the highest turnout rates in the country.

Perhaps the most consequential measure is one that would require the state Department of Licensing to automatically register citizens obtaining a state driver’s license or identification card to vote.

Inslee said as many as a million Washingtonians who were eligible to register in 2016 didn't register to vote. “Democracy is served when more people participate,” Inslee said at the bill-signing ceremony at a Seattle-area high school.

Among the other measures Inslee signed Monday: A bill to allow voters to register on Election Day itself, and another bill to allow 16- and 17-year olds to pre-register to vote.

You mean if a person doesn't want to register they are going to be forced to register? Doesn't that increase the risk of voter fraud?

why not just pass a law that everyone in the state is automatically registered........why bother requiring them to register themselves.......for that matter, why make them vote for themselves......
