Default SAS sniper’s ‘one in a million’ shot slays ISIS chief from ONE MILE away

AN SAS sharpshooter has pulled off a “one in million” shot to kill an ISIS commander from almost a mile away in near total darkness.

The elite sniper killed the terrorist chief with what senior defence sources said was a shot achieved at a range of more than 1,500m with a window of opportunity of just 15 seconds.

A source said: “The shot was one in a million. Getting a one-round, one-kill head shot at night using thermal imagery in a 15-second target window is about as close to impossible as you can get but he pulled it off.

“He is definitely the best sniper around at the moment.”

Well done, SAS! The British special forces should be proud!

I would also like to note:

Military insiders said the sniper was using a US-made McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifle, which fires a huge .50 calibre round.

If that's prelude to a matrimonial proposal, the answer is no.

Otherwise, despite a few bionic augmentations, ...

While I could never be a sniper I love making long shots with accurate rifles. That’s why I’m not an AR type of fellow. I like to hit your hat at a quarter mile...and have a couple of rifles that I can do just that with (and a little better on certain days).

Thanks for the story. Score one for the good guys.

The SAS is known to have a few excellent marksmen.
Other countries have also had some well documented
snipers throughout history, some being women as well
as men. There is far more that goes into making a shot
like that than most will ever know. That was one hell of
    a shot.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Well since you're seriously retarded and haven't paid your Google bill.

    a) What does SAS stand for?

    Special Air Service

    b) What nation's uniform did this SAS wear?

They have their own special forces uniform, and also operate in disguise to blend in with the surroundings. They are experts at camouflage.

    c) When did this occur?

    Recently

    d) What was the name of the commander slain?

    Don't know

    e) In what location had the commander been, when slain?

    Near the Iraq-Syrian border.

The SAS have killed hundreds of ISIS soldiers, they are true heroes.

They have a long tradition of operating in hostile territory going back to Libya in WW2.
