"It's a well-worn (if not-entirely-agreed-upon) idea that college makes people more liberal. But a new report adds a twist to this: the most educated Americans have grown increasingly liberal over the last couple of decades.

A report from the Pew Research Center finds a wide partisan gap between highly educated and non-highly-educated Americans. Not only that, but the share of college grads and post-graduates who are "consistently liberal" (based on their answers to a series of policy questions) has grown sharply in the last 20 years."

Can you address the point with an opinion as to why the more education people get the more intelligent they tend to be and the more liberal .
Do you suppose that intelligence, education and the attraction to liberal ideas and solutions are a mere association? Maybe, but I'd like confounding uncontrolled variables
like better food health care and family structure to explain our greater aptitude, length of bone and proud bearing as well as increased earnings and life expectancy.

Women, on the other hand, will develop lighter, smooth, hairless skin, large clear eyes, pert breasts, glossy hair, and even features, he adds. Racial differences will be ironed out by interbreeding, producing a uniform race of coffee-coloured people."

Many have told him to F off. But most of us don't come to this board to police people like CFM. I come to discuss politics, not follow CFM's every post and speak out against it. You don't speak out against TTQ64 or Desh when they say racist things so why expect others to do likewise?

In certain well educated circles socialism is a more enlightened system and form of being. Hence the appeal to liberals.

This definitely seems true in my husband's family. Of the six kids and two parents, he has the highest level of education, and according to his mom was the "smartest" of all the kids. They're all conservative; he is apolitical-leaning-left. He's also the only one to move to a large city after finishing university; the rest still live in rural regions.
