They think at least 10 people are dead, truly amazing as it was only erected last week.

I know they've gotten some survivors out. I certainly hope there are more. How very sad.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

And people question why ethics is taught to engineers and welders.
It is the responsibility of every American citizen to own a modern military rifle.

Big problem for the company that built this just reported. They didn't have the center steel support in place before putting all 170ft of this walkway over the highway.

Horrible. It was the top story on the news tonight. First thing husband said was "This is why math is important."

And maybe going with the lowest bidder isn't always the smart thing to do.

Okay, it was not finished, workers were on the bridge, not students. People who died were either workers on the bridge or cars beneath the bridge.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.
    - -- The Buddha

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
