what did articulate and bright and clean cut get us?
Of course I wouldn't vote for a guy just because he was 'articulate and bright and clean cut'. I'll take Trump and all his drama over Obama any day. But wouldn't it be nice if Trump behaved and groomed himself like an adult? It wouldn't hurt, that's for sure.

I’m somewhere in between. I’m a total pragmatist, so I wish Trump would be less of his own enemy, but that’s a small price to pay for what he’s done—or has yet to get done.

    Absolutely a no-brainer for me.
    That's where I am.

    Bingo.

I’m done with Ivy League educated, yet insanely mediocre politicians.

yea I suppose, but that's not who he is, 70 year old people don't suddenly change.

It's actually refreshing to see a president acting like a real person

Yes we get that you don't like him, and there is nothing he can do or say to make you think otherwise.

So what? I don't like him, but I do like what he is doing for the most part.

we feel the same -or more about Hillary's corrupt , plutocratic, out of touch,
identity politics driven campaign, and her warmongering in Iraq/Syria/Libya.

There were only 2 viable choices

What would YOU have done when Assad was slaughtering civilians and 6 million Syrians fled the country?

the question should be: What could we have effectively done?

The last thing I want/wanted to do is get bogged down in Syria; middle east interventionism is a fool's game.
working to undo Assad only strengthens the jihadi groups.. even arming up the FSA was a disaster

And the middle east bog is a creation of bush. What party was he in? He gobbled up about 6 trillion dollars on his neocon wars.

Way too much emotional wailing for too long now over this election.
I like Trump being our President. I don't like a small percentage of things he's said.
It's a dang election, comes around every 4 years.
Pick somebody and back'm, deal with the results, live a happy life and then do it all
over again in 4 years. That's life.
I spent 8 years watching the last Prez do his best to divide, destroy our country and the love for
    our country.
I never went into any political forum anywhere back then. I had and continue to have a life where
my joy doesn't come from any politician. I cast my vote and dealt with it.
In 2008 a few friends and I talked about the results the day after Obama was elected and
the we all just agreed on "Well, we're screwed".
In 2012 we all just agreed on "Well, we're screwed again", laughed, shook our heads and went about our lives.
I got rid of my TV and waited patiently for 2016. I kept current by watching news when I felt like
it on internet live stream news.
This is the first time in American history there has been such full blown childish, emotional, irrational media hysteria. No parent would ever accept a non-stop temper tantrum for over a year in their home.

    The question is......
When you vote for ANY president, is it because you love EVERYTHING about him?
No. Only a fool would. We vote and get what we get.
Looking in the mirror can be painful. BTW, Trump has been president (sadly) now for over a year, so your time to deflect to Hillary has passed its use-by date.

Bottom line is: If you support a bad person, then you are just as bad. We're not talking about political decisions here, but the actions of the person himself -- mocking the disabled, urging followers to be violent, fucking around on his wife(s), assaulting women, racist speech, denigrating others not like himself, frequent personal attacks on non-political ppl, calling white supremacists 'fine folks,' etc. You can't pick and choose which to accept. Either you support Trump -- and his vile behaviors -- or you don't.

    Obviously, you do.
